It's been a long time (I think over a year or so!) since i've actually posted a thread on here, I had a relatively good time but then I fell of at one point or another and here I return! (Although it's not like I was popular or anything so it doesn't mean much, but a man can dream, right?)
All that aside, I've gotten back into my own little deep interest of Fantasy and Sci-Fi, and I've been watching a lot of those shows in which these experts point at certain things in our history (almost entirely ancient Mayan and Egyptian cultures) and go: "Look, look! This couldn't have possibly been done without special help! And look here, what could this strange drawing possibly mean?!" and in the end they do bring up really interesting facts about how certain things couldn't have been done without some spooky form of help beyond us, or that maybe these religons/ancient drawings are based upon something...alien.
I've gotten really interested in this sort of stuff, and I want to come up with a certain story (I can really see this being a movie) about the background of, well, US. But I want to give it an alien twist, I really want to delve in there and explain these religons and our ancient history by throwing aliens in there, and I've come up with some ideas on my own, after reading this (if you do), I'd appreciate any ideas/corrections? you could possibly make to my post, i'd really like to collaborate something here, my only regret is that I actually have a LOT of ideas and I might be soaking up the fun...(This is going to be a MASSIVE word wall, so read diligently, and remember I am truly sorry for this):

Theres the idea that has been bubbling in my head for a day or two, and I wanted to present it to my fellow Escapists, you creative bunch, to judge my mind, saying if my ideas are pure crap, and or helping me expand it into more interesting ideas, creating new things, new threats, new reasons as to why what happened.
(Please feel free to be openly honest about your opinions, I almost half expected my idea to be crap because I somewhat made up a few things on the go in it)
Im really interested in the whole 'Greenhousing' thing, and so Im bound to give it more go's, throwing other (probbably more simple ideas so other people can easily add to it) ideas and seeing where things go!

A few million years ago, back when Dinosaurs were all up and about, these almost Celestial beings (I really kind of want them to be really bad-ass looking, almost like The Protoss from Star Craft, and I want them to also have a really Celestial appeal to them, kinda like the Draenei from WoW) have started expanding their 'Empire' (Doesn't HAVE to be an Empire, it could be any form of Colonization). Either way, these beings have access to very powerful technologies, such as Space Travel (along with the ability to go into Hyperspace and travel great distances in short time) laser-like weaponry (of course), but I also would like them to have magical powers, so that maybe certain Sub-Races are gifted with Magical abilities and choose to use them as Warlords or for the betternment of their people. These beings (whatever they are) scan near-by Galaxies for possible planets to support life and be used as a colony.
They eventually find Earth: a small planet capable of supporting a grand amount of life, with surrounding planets filled with possible resources (maybe?) They go there, and too their luck find that it is inhabited with only 'Wildlife'. In order to inhabit the planet, they decide to annihlate the Dinosaurs. However they are un-equipped with a weapon that could swiftly take care of the issue, so they decide that if they can capture a Metorite large enough, and launch it at the Earth, it would eradicate most of the large and deadly lifeforms. They agree to it, and commence with the plan, finally destroying most the dangerous life on the planet.
They leave Earth and the Solar Sytem, giving it time to heal and allow them to return. As time passes they finally return, pleased that smaller mammals have mostly taken over, but also suprised that the primates seem to have been evolving into men, and developing tools (the aliens would've return to Earth around the time that men began building societies).
Much debating comes over the leaders of the Aliens, as they are un-sure if they should once again exterminate the species, or not. Eventually, they decide that instead of using Earth as a colony, they could attempt to instruct the new Humans, slowly introducing them to technology and invention, and eventually creating a great ally. The leaders then choose a large fleet of workers, soldiers, and a select handful of Military Leaders and Spiritual Leaders, and send them to Earth.
These leaders would then begin influencing the humans, but in different ways. Different leaders handling things different ways, and accidentally having the humans believe they are 'gods' instead of aliens helping them (due to mis-communications). Certain people like Moses and Jesus could even be powerful aliens sent down in a human appearance, to further demonstrate the alien technologies and abilities, introducing them to humans, before they are again missunderstood as religous acts.
And certain religous wars/conflicts (like the Jews escaping Egypt, Roman and Greek conflicts, The Crusades) could simply be just the conflicts of the different leader teachings. For instance the leader overviewing Egypt would have dissagreements with the 'God' leader, and therefore capturing his people and so on, having Moses being an alien in disguise used to free the leader's captured people. And the crusades like I mentioned, would simply be the bi-product of the religous conflictions.
Sometime shortly after the death of christ, these leaders would leave the planet, viewing their attempts at introducing themselves as alien helpers useless, and waiting some time again for the humans to be able to understand what they are being presented.
They return roughly a little over 2000 years later (the current date this story could take place being maybe 2300 or something) in dire need of allies, and remembering the humans.
