Name: Anders Eklund

Appearance: Anders is 6"6 and, according to his enlistment papers weighs in at 275lbs. He has medium length dark brown hair, which is more often than not, slicked back with whatever grease or grease like substance was readily available when he got out of bed. His sideburns extend to his cheeks and he sports a closely trimmed horseshoe mustache. His eyes are an intense shade of green. He has tattoos that cover both his arms which include Thor's hammer Mjölnir, a battle axe and a long boat on his left arm, and the world tree Yggdrasil covering the entirety of his right arm. He wears the standard armor of a Colonial Space Marine with the exception of a welder's mask in place of the standard issue helmet. Both his mask and armor are adorned with Runes of Protection and strength, as well as the phrase "If I'm running, you should be too" on the back of his armor.
Weapons: Ithaca M37 Shotgun, M92 Grenade Launcher.
Misc Gear: A bottle of homebrewed Mead, with hip flask. A retro-fitted bandolier (that holds 2 miniature propane tanks, 2 spools of copper wire, 1 spool of fuse wire, a lighter, matches, 6 blasting caps.) Cigars. Pocket Knife.
Personality: In his personal life, Anders is the personification of the term "Gentle Giant" despite his imposing size he is very easy going, and doesn't get angry easily, though if provoked his levels of rage and anger border on psychotic, and though he likes to think he can live and let live, he holds grudges against those he feels have wronged him or those he cares about. Anders also falls victim to White Knight syndrome and will go out of his way to help a lady in need. Though not the social butterfly his grandfather wished he was, Anders has a tight group of friends that he cares about deeply. When on the job, Anders is loud, boisterous and at times, unpredictable. When frightened he will be most likely to attempt to hide behind humor as a way to cope with the stress. When angry he becomes quiet and attempts to detach himself from those around him. He also has an almost unhealthy admiration for fire and explosives.
Back Story: Anders' Mother and Father died when he was a young boy, after their deaths Anders was placed in the custody of his paternal Grandfather, who raised him with a deep respect for the Nordic rites and traditions of his family. After dropping out of high school in his final year, Anders bounced around from job to meaningless job until a gunpowder miscalculation caused the explosion and subsequent obliteration of an employer's car. At the trial, Anders was offered a choice, pay back his debt in the prison system or as a Marine. Since enlisting, Anders has blossomed as an expert explosives technician, though he still counts the days until his debt is paid off and he can become a private citizen again. When his CO heard about the Mining Station going offline, he suggested that Anders get himself assigned to the investigation detail, if only to see if going into Mining might be a viable career choice after the Marines.
