I'm sorry, but the Shins have not changed my life. I like them and all but they are not great.
There is more than just the shins on the soundtrack... and its not about the songs or bands being the best, its about the soundtrack and how well it compliments the movie

I can't believe I'm saying this, because on such a fundamental level, I just can't like this movie, but...

Transformers. The score by Steve Jablonsky is so heroic sounding. I wish he would have saved it for a good movie. Given it to the upcoming Avengers flick or something, because that score is just so rockin.

The score for the movie "The Phantom" is also super rockin. If anyone knows a place where I can find or dl it, someone should message me, because I love that score.

Can't look past Lord Of The Rings or Star Wars; epic compostion and orchestration. If you don't get gooebumps when Luke looks into the stars on Tatooine, or want to start jumping for glee as Gandalf saves the day at Helms Deep, you are technically dead and must seek medical attention...

Honestly it's subjective. You could even say Beetlejuice. It did compliment the movie fairly well.
Thats because Danny Elfman is a bonafide movie music genius. Beetlejuice, Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Spider-Man. You know, it's funny that most of those are Burton movies.
