What do you mean? It's the Minstrel. take a look [http://www.guildwars2.com/en/]. hehe.gigastrike said:I was really hoping that they'd at least name it something different. I wanted to see the fanbase's reaction when they saw that the final profession wasn't the "mesmer".
Well they wouldn't do that especially if it was the same class as a good few people liked Mesmer and it was relatively unique to Guild Wars.gigastrike said:I was really hoping that they'd at least name it something different. The Engineer is very very close to the Ritualist in functionality.Glademaster said:I'm a bit disappointed that there was no real successor to Dervish or Ritualist...
I saw that. Might have worked if the Mesmer footage hadn't been leaked the day before.2xDouble said:What do you mean? I say it worked better because the footage leaked two days before. Like the Mesmer itself, it left people wondering, "which one was real?". Watch the "minstrel" for awhile then tentatively click on it to uncover the truth... and it was awesome.gigastrike said:I saw that. It is close to it in some ways but it still isn't the same as the Rit in where it counts to me.GrandmaFunk said:The Engineer is very very close to the Ritualist in functionality.Glademaster said:I'm a bit disappointed that there was no real successor to Dervish or Ritualist...
the effects are just dressed up as steampunk gadgets rather than spirits and urns.
well, that IS a huge aspect to RPG's and dungeon crawlers.Digitaldreamer7 said:The only way there won't be a grind is if all items scale based on player levels. So, this will still be a grind.
I agree. I really enjoy the style of the Ritualist... it just seemed to fit in with Guild Wars a little better.Glademaster said:It is close to it in some ways but it still isn't the same as the Rit in where it counts to me.GrandmaFunk said:The Engineer is very very close to the Ritualist in functionality.Glademaster said:I'm a bit disappointed that there was no real successor to Dervish or Ritualist...

Well it does fit in the time frame they are setting the game but we will have to wait and see if they do make it fit into the game style.Fleetfiend said:I agree. But I'm kind of against the guns and all that as well. It makes some sense, but it makes it feel... not very Guild Wars-y to me.
That really depends on your definition of a grind. All I really see is the ability to get better gear, not a grind. The leveling and loot distribution mechanics have pretty much eliminated any actual "grind". There is a pretty bold line between a "grind" and "having stuff to do in the game".Digitaldreamer7 said:The only way there won't be a grind is if all items scale based on player levels.
