According to reports from the Metropolitan police and other news sources, a 19 year old man has been arrested in Essex in connection to the hacking group.

Read about it here: http://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2011/06/21/lulzsec-suspect-arrested-scotland-yard/

To which, the only thing I can say is hahahaha...

(And that's what you get for ddosing the Escapist :p)

Yes! This means they can be caught! I still don't get why the whitehats don't help take them down, but alright! Let's see some more!

Well it's the right country this time. I'm presuming any way judging by the fact that at least two of them are of English origin (the way they act, mockery of the French and English accents). Whether it's the right person this time? Impossible for us non-police to know. They haven't mentioned it on twitter like they did the other arrest.

The campaign that Anon, Lulzsec and several other groups are now running is specifically targeting security forces and whitehats (something about "exposing whitehat lies" or words to that effect) so they might already be trying to help.

Any word on if this guy has sneezed yet? or had any bowel movements? People post every little bit of news about them so I figured I'd ask.

There is. Well they don't call themselves Whitehats they just say they are doing this for the lulz, so that victims of Lulzsec can have a laugh at their expense.

Maybe that means it is the right guy and the police took away his phone? :D

Yeah i heard this, supposedly according to the bbc the guy they caught was a ring leader. To be honest i hope they get extredited to the US for trial, the US justice system is far more harsh tan what we have in the UK, plus it was the CIA they attacked after all.

Meh you do realize all that would do is place them in a white collar prison, and then 6 months to 2 years. Then once they're out they'll gain 6 figure salary.

Havent they attacked govt organizations in multiple countries? I would like to see him extredited to the US for the sole reason of I think the jails there are alittle harsher.
Ah ok I didn't know that, the only one i heard about was the CIA. Yeah I think they are, especially from what I saw on that Louie Throux documentary. To be honest just send them to the place with the worst prisons, you know just for the Lulz, YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Essex would of been near the bottom of places I would expect a Cyber Terrorist to hide.

Good. Death to LulzSec. I never made up my mind about how I felt about Anonymous, but LulzSec was much easier: a bunch of cyber bullies who pretend it's "for the lulz" (which it very well could be if they get "lulz" from trying to be the biggest assholes on the internet).

LOL. Now I am laughing, although I don't think that that's what Lulzsec intended...

Oh, I see. Do you suggest we do nothing and let them keep hacking freely?
Don't know what the punishment will be but the ones they caught in Spain are facing three years if found guilty. These guys have hacked tons of government websites and are guilty of major identity theft). If they'd only get your forecasted sentence I'd be really dispointed.

As for the salaries... We can just hope the employers are clever enough to check their crime records(which they usually do as far as I know).
