I just realized I might get reported for this post even though its partly a joke. Soo, for extra discussion, I've been learning Juri in SSF4:AE lately, driving myself insane learning some of combos and moves. Ever kill yourself trying to get something stupidly simple to work but you just can't seem to do it?

Certain missions in UMvC3, like Chun Li's 4th mission (I think?). Also, Wesker combos. People say he's easy, but I seriously can't do much with him at all. Admittedly, it's probably because I haven't taken the time to really sit down and learn anything with him yet. I just don't want to be "that guy" who can only win because he has Wesker on his team.

I haven't played SSF4AE in a while but I remember some missions pissing me off with how simple they seemed. Then you find they might require strict timing or some other confusing stuff.

I was never a big fan of combo heavy fighting games, myself. Any fighting game that has an infinite combo just makes me roll my eyes. However even some of the timing needed on 4-5 hit combos in SF4 throws me for a loop.

I was about to post, but then I (no not a fucking arrow) saw your edit...

I was never able to pull off the super moves in the last Soul Calibur game. I hear they were rather neat, but I fear they have steered the game in a horrible direction.

A few of my friends and I have played every Soul Calibur (Soul Edge too) and we just never had the desire or ability to do these.

Wait wait wait, Soul Caliber had finishing moves like that ??

Beat Goldeneye above Agent. I can't find any objectives...not to mention, aiming with a controller is a pain when you're used to M+K.

I actually feel your pain, man. I don't really use it at all. When I talk to my brother about fighting games, he starts going off about hitboxes, cancelling, and mix ups, cross ups, frame data, etc. My brain just melts. I just want to punch and kick people!

This. I am almost certain it is impossible to beat some of the missions on anything higher than agent.
Other games... Combos in most fighters, using the shotgun in Gears of War 2, and Slide Puzzles EVER.

Oof, I couldn't stand trying to beat Control on 00 Agent. I never managed to do it.

I am right there with you. I am a total button masher. I cannot ever muster the motivation to learn a bunch of combos, especially when I see my friends spend months learning the combos only to be defeated by my button mashing expertise!
