Alright nerds, what's your class schedules like?

I'm only taking four courses since I need to keep working if I want to keep making a living. >.>

Anyways:

Creating by Algorithm
Collaborative Projects and Research II (This one is three hours with a guest lecture on a separate day for only an hour)
Rapid Prototyping through Somatic Research
Performing in Digital and Hybrid Ensembles

I'm also doing a work study in a Fabrication Lab on campus, so I'm practically living there. And by 'there' I mean Arizona State University and I'm a Digital Culture student in Music. I'm playing with the idea of going for a Masters, but I'm not sure about that just yet since I have until next Fall to make that decision.

Anyway, as to the OP's question, my courses are:

I am indeed studying Medieval history.

I also do Undergraduate Research, which requires about as many hours as a class. However, I actually get paid to do it.

What are you working on? I did undergraduate research over the last two summers and it's been pretty interesting. Would be nice if it paid a bit more than minimum wage though...

I'm working on a few things actually. Initially, it started off on learning how to set up a specialized email server. Right now I'm working on parsing emails. Eventually, I'll have to start making that parser "smart" enough to "teach itself" how to parse things it has never seen before. That last part is going to be, by far, the hardest part of my research. I do have to say I'm really excited to see if I can pull it off before the research ends, especially since I still have to allocate some of my time to do things manually until then.

I finished my university stuff in 2008 but I think I can actually still remember all the courses I took since I only took as many as needed to finish. Back then we had a different way of studying humanities in Germany so I could only finish with something which nowadays would be considered a master but you couldn't do less than that if you wanted a proper diploma of some sort at the end.

I finished college last may and I'll be graduating with a bachelors in computer engineering this november so go me. Knowing that it's this time of year again, but I don't have to go back to classes is the greatest feeling in the world. Especially following 17 straight years of academia. It's like summer holidays except it never has to end.

As for what I will be doing with myself, probably piss about for a while and wind up doing something completely unrelated to my degree. Incidentally, not having student loans is also amazing. Ok, I'll stop now.

The first two were fun classes. C was dull and as far as programming languages go my least favorite I had to work with.

I still have to take those classes. Some people in my DM class are saying the notes are practically the same for digital circuits.
