So, I'm starting to play the game, and I'm a little confused by some of the places the game lets me have dialogue options. It seems to maybe imply that you have a choice of several people to hook up with, other than your betrothed? Is this correct?

You don't have to give any details or anything, just curious, to anyone who's played it already, if that actually is an option.

Doesn't matter. You don't really hook up at all. Welllllll, maybe the ending counts. But you're locked in as far as that goes

To put it bluntly; there are no romance options in FF15, Noctis is engaged to a certain person and he stays on that course and that course alone.

Right but there are times when they mention "marriage of convenience", implying that Noctis might not be in the mood to marry her. And given they let me choose how engaging I am when talking to Luna, I thought it might let me actually romance someone else, and have the marriage just be a thing of politics.

Don't really care either way, was just curious about the design about it.

This game is very rigid in its story and where it wants to go with its characters. I would have enjoyed a bit more freedom like you just described, but sadly, none was presented.

Others call it a marriage of convenience. Noctis is actually in love with Lunafreya and has no problem getting married to her. The game really should have had the two of them spend more time together to drive that point home.

Nope. I tried to drive off with that one dudes sister and abandon the main quest, but the game wouldn't let me.

NO, sorry the answer is a tad on the short side but it clears it gets to the point. Not that it matters the entire story is arse gravy anyway.
