Alright, so here is what happened, one of my friends' younger brother has been getting bullied all year round by another grade 9 kid and me and my friend have told this kid four times that if he kept bullying my friend's younger brother we were going to beat him until he cried. So here's my background with this kid... just thought it would be important to explain the situation first.

So last week-end I was at a popular local band's show with a couple of friends when I saw the kid bullying my friend's younger brother so rather than warning him a fifth time i dragged him to an alley and punched him in the face once, he got up and pulled a knife on me so I warned that if he didn't put it away he would have to drag him self out of the alley. Unfortunately the little shit ignored the warning so when he lunged at me I broke his arm and ran his face against the fence in the alley. Needless to say he was on the ground crying when I walked out of the alley.

So I was just wondering was I in the wrong to do that? and do you think the little shit will be stupid enough to bully my friend's brother again?

Edit: The more important Question is do you think he's going to bully my friend's brother again?

I would have just called the police and gotten him arrested, but I guess that's ok?

Edit: Mainly because you could get in trouble for that.

You probably should have given him a little warning before dragging him away, but otherwise all you did was make good on your promise. He didn't heed and so he paid the price.

Well, if he had a fucking knife...

You should have tried to take a cellphone pic or two, and whine to any authority afterward. Just beating the little shit won't do much, but you can cause this much more ruin if you get law into it, bwahah.

No, personally I'd have taken the knife and seen if I could convince him I was going to hand it to the police with his finger prints on to get him arrested. Anyone with half a brain wouldn't buy it, but he doesn't sound like he has even that.

Nice job on taking that ***** down. What kind of coward is he, he earned the beating he should have taken it.

EDIT: A few people are saying that you should have let the authorities handle this, I think they're living in a slightly different world, up till he pulled the knife he hadn't done anything the police would care about. And now he has pulled a knife there's no way to prove it so they still won't care.

For punching a kid in the face - yes, very much so, for defending yourself when he had a knife - no.

Sounds like the shit got what he deserved. However, if he whines to an authority figure you may be fucked. Then again, it'd be pretty damned difficult to prove it...

Really? People just believe stories like this now?

Hey guys, did you hear? I took out a guy twice the size of me with a single punch, the doctors say I nearly killed him. Was that wrong of me? T_T

Did you say "Tough break, kid" after you broke his arm too?! XD

I just dont find this story to be believable at all.

You probably shouldn't have started the fight in the first place. Going to someone in authority is usually the better way to go.

I suppose informing an adult was out of the question...
But, you know. He had a knife. That's just crazy. Breaking his arm may have gone a bit far, but you did what you had to.

I think you did the right thing. Bullying isn't illegal, so the cops would have done nothing to a kid in 9th grade for it, but you warned him and u punched him in the face once. Should have been over, the kid should of learned his lesson, but he had to be a tough guy and pull a knife, at that point, he is trying to kill u, and if anything, in my oppinion, you went too easy on him, I would have broken his kneecap the minute he pulled a knife.

Of course not, we know full well this is one of the least believeable stories of the day. I think we do anyway.
