Really? People just believe stories like this now?

Hey guys, did you hear? I took out a guy twice the size of me with a single punch, the doctors say I nearly killed him. Was that wrong of me? T_T

Did you say "Tough break, kid" after you broke his arm too?! XD

I just dont find this story to be believable at all.
What this guy said he did, isnt that unbelievable. he dragged someone smaller than him into an alley and punched him in the face, at which point, the kid pulled a knife. Here's a little secret: a knife isnt that good of a weapon, unless you really know how to use it. When you dont, using one is more likely to get yourself hurt, than anyone else.
I dont recall getting this guys age OR height. And the knife thing... he said he lunged for him so he clearly didnt hurt himself, he had the knife out and lunged. They were in an alley where this chap had just punched the kid in the face... so he had to be in arms length... This guy dodged a lunge from a knife at arms length and then had his wits about him to also break the kids arm (bearing in mind this kid has a knife so he cant be waiting around all day to "break his arm") straight after he dodges... come on.
Well, after a hit people stagger so about two arms length, and lunge is just like a punch a shift and a palm strike to the elbow would have beaten that.

Well I guess the more important question is will he bully my friend's brother again?

In defending your life, yes. In defending your friends brother, no I don't think what you did helped matters. In all honesty, your friends brother needs to do something about it himself. If he is unwilling because he's too scared, then it's up to you to help him become strong enough to do something. But taking matters into your own hands to start with was a big no-no, regardless of who it was you were trying to defend.

If you actually broke his arm, then only if he is retarded. Or if he gets his jollies off of being hurt.

Little shits like that only respond to force. Hopefully he's learned his lesson. If not, (and he sounds like a person who doesn't learn very fast,) just keep "teaching" him.

So yeah, you were in the right. Maybe next time though teach your mate's brother to fight back. Nothing's more awful to a bully than being beaten up by the kid you've been picking on and, speaking as someone who was on the recieving end of bullying way back when, nothing is more satisfying than smashing the little fuck who's been picking on you.

I don't know if you should have gotten involved in the first place but once the kid pulled a knife on you then you had a right to defend yourself. how old are you compared to this kid?

The police are almost never going to be there when you need them. A bit of pushing and shoving between a bully and victim (or friend/family of victim) is one thing, pulling a knife is a whole other deal and I would consider what you did as self defence (just because I would consider it that doesn't mean that anyone in authority would).

Bone breaking and potential permanent damage is really a step too far. But my little inner voice that abhors bullies of all sorts is happy he got the snot beaten out of him.

Dude, he whipped a knife on you, and you still kicked his ass.

That's metal, no chance that little snot (yeah, i'm keeping it g-rated) will try to pull anything on your brother.

I think you did the right thing, and I think if people gave bullies a (single, deserved) thumping more often, this would be less of a problem.

Nope, you were in the right. The punch was justified, you gave him four warnings.

And the knife? Fuck him. He pulls a knife on you you are justified in hurting him.

Also I should point out the AWESOMENESS of the OP. You, sir, are awesome.

I would have just called the police and gotten him arrested, but I guess that's ok?

Edit: Mainly because you could get in trouble for that.
If you had some kid waving a knife in your face, surely you wouldn't just take out your phone and start dialing?

Following the bullshit principle ie when someone recounts a story online it is at least 25% bullshit im not really buying this story...

Basically you pushed a mouthy little kid over lets cut the crap here if it went down like you said then you would either be in a movie or in serious trouble.

What is it with all these school kids posting about how they beat up people lately thinking it makes them some kind of John Rambo in all out minds for us all to revere??

I have read about 5 different threads like this in the last week and they all start off by stating that the kid in question that they are lauding their triumph over was younger and smaller then them so no wonder they have to embellish the story to make it sound like they were justified.

Have you guys all sneaked into see Kick Ass and now think you're some sort of vigilante? well go foil a bank robbery or something then come back and post about how hard you are and i might actually show you the hero treatment your so clearly craving.

you were in the right to do that. the little fucker deserved it, if he's such a coward he picks on kids and carries a knife around as backup. i take my hat off to you, you have more balls than me, i wouldn't be able to do that if someone threatened me with a nife.

Seeing how he had a knife, what you were doing is quite risky and I'm not sure the authorities will believe you.
But, yes, absolutely morally justifiable. In fact, you should have hurt him much more severely.

I personally think the little **** deserves everything he has got coming to him. You did absolutely the right thing by breaking his arm and imo people who carry knives for offensive purposes (Rather than to defend themselves from someone with a knife) are scum. Bravo sir you deserve a medal. He knew what he was doing, you warned him and he now has to face the consequences of his actions.

He pulled a knife on you, you're absolved of any wrongdoing from that point onward.

I would have taken a pic with the cell phone, knocked him over without doing anything too serious, and then called the police. You know, at least get some kind of evidence that he was using a knife.
