a lot of false information in this thread...
1. pvp is split into 4 tiers, lvl 10-29, 30-54, 55 unranked and 55 ranked
2. the bolster system skales your char to the stats a lvl 55 char with full ranked pvp-gear would have as soon as you enter a warzone, in some cases even above that, a lvl 19 sniper can do up to 10k dmg with ambush which is imposible for a lvl 55 sniper unless he shoots an enemy which only wears green pve gear in open pvp.
3. the bolster system is buged atm, which means you get the best pvp stats by wearing high end pve gear, you will then have better stats then a person wearing high end pvp gear because the highest tier of pve gear has a higher item lvl then the endgame pvp gear, you also get expertise for free this way which means you are actually having an advantage over pvp'ers itemwise if you focus on pve only.
4. staying away from pvp in the low level brackets will hurt you in the long run if you plan to play pvp in the game because you can start buying ranked tokens as soon as you hit lvl 40, however, you need pvp rank 40 to do so which means you kinda have to play low level pvp.
5. if you have problems with not having enough stuns (hahaha, not enough stuns in sw:tor, made my day), skill cybertech, build stun grenades and enjoy your 5-man-aoe-stun on demand, or just buy the stun grenades in the GTN and skill biochem so you can have endless combat stims.
