I never really particularly "liked" or "enjoyed" being on these forums. I just tend to comment when I see something that piques my interest on the lastest or hot topic threads.

I wish I could still be the bright eyed fanatic fucker of the boards, proclaiming my undying love and overabundance of attention for the forums, but...something isn't really clicking for me anymore.
I'm still happy enough to come here, and browse a bit, but the days of me spending an ungodly amount of time sitting and perusing the boards have passed. Ah well.

To be fair, it takes a LOT of dedication to get to the amount of time you spent on the forums back in the day

So, I've been lurking on the site viewing both the content and forums since July and I finally registered and realized...I'm not enjoying myself on these forums. I've only managed one other comment because the threads seem less interesting the second I click on the dialogue box.

It could be that I prefer to watch from a distance rather than actually participate but the watching thing has gotten old.

So, in an attempt to find enjoyment: What is your favorite thing about these forums?

Did you just make a thread on how uninteresting this site's threads are?

I dont know, I find somthing very satisfying in having somwhere to share my opinions on stuff..gaming and otherwise, and of coarse always checking to see if Ive been "quoted"

and I guess here Im less likley to encount baffling troll comments and other unpleasant stuff, its not perfect but its pretty good

I after about a year of constantly being here it hasnt worn off just yet, prhaps its an outlet of sorts...

After thinking for a while, I don't know, I really don't know, I honestly can't think of a reason why I've stuck around for as long as I have other than force of habit, I mean I didn't even have any ties to the community until very, very recently (like the last week of last year), so I can't really understand why I'm here.

A lot of the people I used to enjoy discussing games and whatnot with here have moved on or just rarely post at all. But there are still some users I respect, and some threads [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.306987-Lets-Play-Fallout-New-Vegas-Danger-Ahead?page=1] that keep me coming back.

I was thinking today though that I don't really enjoy it much overall anymore, and I've never really found a niche. I just stayed around mostly Gaming Discussion commenting on whatever. But there's sooo much bitterness there now. I feel like I might make an enemy every time I admit I like any particular game.

So I get what you mean, OP. I'm still here because I like a few members and I like the Escapist staff.

Have to say I agree with a lot of other people, I keep coming back here but the appeal of browsing these forums all day has gone for some reason.

Perhaps it's because overall the forums are a bit less active these days, though that could just be my imagination.
