I just got it in the mail a little early (I live in California) and I just gotta say, it's worth getting exited over.

No, you are not.

On a side note, I think this is the start of a horrible two weeks here. MW2 threads EVERYWHERE
Dude, this already started a few days ago, and it's only gonna get worse. Believe me, if this game does not meet expectations, we might be seeing some of the biggest shitstorms on the internet ever.
Yes, I know.
RUN WITH ME!
Come, lets go to Forum Games and the groups!
WE WILL BE SAFE
If MW2 is a letdown, not even Forum Games and the groups may be safe.

We are truly at the mercy of the shitstorm.
True, but we will be safe from all the horrible threads that will be started.
But, I highly doubt it is a let down.
The day is HERE ! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

And no, I am not pissing myself with anticipation :p I just want the campaign, and the online ... meh... I will see.

Nope.

I'm a PC gamer, go figure.
This. I mean really...
This is also informative [[http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/11/pc-modern-warfare-2-its-much-worse-than-you-thought.ars]
Price in australia. Very important.

I see a sea of red, red meaning the same colour as the big red F for failure. This francise is going back in time and they're trying to sell questionable nightvision goggles to cover it up. Maybe the next game will be 4 players max deathmatch with only one gun.

I don't hate MW2. It's just gone down.
Well Golly G
Why don't you all keep playing CoD4, nobody is stopping you from the upgrade..
Did you read the article about PC gamers needing to get over themselves..?
I know i did.

Never underestimate the power of the internet complainers, my friend. If there's the tiniest fault, they will not hesitate to pounce on the internet and force their whininess upon us.

Brace yourselves. This will not be pretty.

I sense a disturbance in the balance of the gaming world.

The boundaries between PC and Console shall be broken, and the world shall succumb to chaos.

Because, we like our pings, consoles and custom servers.

It has begun! Hence, today, on the 10th of November it shall hit, and it shall not stop ! BE WARNED! HEED ME! HEED ME!

No, I find both Call of Duty and Day of Defeat to be totally played out. They just make the same games over and over and I'm done with them.

There are games people are going crazy about that never interested me.

I couldn't understand all the hype with GTA4 - I hated that series when San Andreas came out and they started re-releasing the games on PSP in teeny tiny widescreen. Same with things like Uncharted and Resistance - could never get into them, not to mention the disappointment MGS4 was.

So really, you're not the first person to not like a game everybody else likes, nor will you be the last.

I have never been interested in any of the Call of Duty or Medal of Honor games or any of those, what I've dubbed, 'war sims'. The only reason I've spoken out about MW2 is because I see it as a symbol, it's a symbol that the developers/publishers seem to think us gamers can be easily manipulated. They can totally screw us up the ass and we'll still buy their shit, or enough of us will for them to make huge ass profits. It comes down to either standing up and refusing to be treated like sheep or rolling over and taking it. From what I've seen however, it seems the majority of gamers are content to be sheep. Of course to take a stand would require sacrifice, but would it be worth it to regain control of your favorite past time.
They have yet to be proven wrong. And we have yet to prove it to them. All this whahhh whahhhh they ruined COD will all be forgotten tomorrow (or even earlier since some places aren't adhering to the street date) and everyone will be all hurray for MW2 while it sells millions upon millions of copies. And hey if it doesn't do well on the PC then either they won't bother with the PC for any of thier games or they will invest the resources to fix this (or change it for the next time). I don't think they will consider the latter as a viable option though.

I am curious to see how many of the "PC Elitists" who have been raging and frothing at the mouth over this will still not buy a copy come tomorrow.
That is precisely my point. They WON'T be proven wrong. Gamespot reported that MW2 has the most pre-orders of any game. I foresee the deterioration of game quality to follow and publisher treatment of gamers to get much much worse in the near future. It will happen, mark my words. We had the change to prevent it, but we choose to ignore it and we will suffer for it.
Well, ya know they only really fucked it up after everyone had gotten really hyped up for it. By then, many people had their pre-orders. The millions would have to cancel their orders in less then one month time
And if they'd done that, it'd would've really been a slap to the face for Acitvision. Too bad no one was willing to make that sacrifice.
