remove cradle completely and another good band choice would have been marduk or amon amarth and others suitable but i agree with the mayhem thing

Well, I for one is going to buy this as soon as it hit the shelves. It has Jack Black, which I find to be awesome. It has Tim Shafer humor all over , which is the best kind of gaming humor (c'mon, Psychonauts is pure gold!), and it has a lot of awesome music. Which also carries over to the imagery. The game looks beautiful in a metal kind of way.
And the gameplay looks awesome as well. You hack your way through hords with your battleaxe, use "magic" by playing your guitar, roam around a vast landscape either in your hotrod, on the back of some beast you tame, or by flying around. Yeah, you eventually get demon wings. Which you can use to fly high up and survey the battlefield. You know, when you build a base and recruit soldiers to fight in large battles.
What is there not to like?

To me it just looks like a kiddies game, like spiro with layers and layers of metal on top of it and instead of fiery breath you get an axe, a guitar and a hotrod.

I hate spiro, so I will hate this game.

well jack doesnt bother me i doubt i will get the game for other reasons mainly the number of other good games coming out and its just an open world adventure game with a metal twist. illd honestly be embaresed to be caught playing it but itll probly be a good game

I am passing on Brütal Legend, but not because I can't stand Jack Black, but because I simply don't find action/adventure games to be that entertaining.
