Am I the only one that thinks Mass Effect 3's Logo is VERY unoriginal?

Someone lost on TVTropes said:
While the logo isn't that big of a deal (mainly since it's consistent with the N7 font as someone pointed out), I'm inclined to agree. It seems like they pretty much took Mass Effect 2's logo and changed it with a three.

And Mass Effect 2's logo is Mass Effect 1's logo with a red box and 2. No one pointed that out, though.

I wouldn't say this is any better, but it's "different".
I tried to make it according to what you said.

And like other people are saying: it's a logo it doesn't really matter, ME3 will be great whatever the logo looks like.

Wow, people will complain about ANYTHING these days. A logo not being "new" enough merits a whole thread to whine about it? I'm really out of touch with today's youth, it seems, since to me it looks like petty whining... but whatever...

When they create the ME2 logo by slapping on a stupid 2, it bugged me. Here they are just following the established form (which still sucks but following an established dumb trend is more understandable then starting one).

I thought ME2's logo was orange while ME3's is red. Also you notice a color scheme in the Mass Effect games. ME1 was blue and such and such. Well it is my guess that it is related to the terror level. Blue<Orange<Red with Red being severe risk of attack, Orange High risk of attack, and blue guarded risk of attack. You can see this based on how the series progresses with the Reaper threat.

I just hope that the box art is half decent for once. We Americans have a long history of getting box art that generally just..kinda...looks like shit.

The only problem I have with this logo is that I'll have trouble discerning which box is mass effect 2 and which is number 3 in my game library. I would have maybe designed the logo more or less the same but with much more noticeable decay, akin to Arkham City, but it serves its purpose.
