Am I the only one who thinks Pokemon has gotten progressively worse since Gold/Silver?

Well I'll admit it, I never played all the way through Gold/Silver, in fact I only ever played right through Red/Blue/Yellow and Fire Red/ Leaf Green.
Because FR/LG are essentially R/B with new graphics I'll hold it out of my answer.
Red/Blue/Yellow are the pinnacle of the series, Gold/Silver just didn't have the same magic as the originals.
Red/Blue, had the best map design, the graphics weren't the greatest, but that was simply because of the hardware, the best monster design, it was unique, the Legendaries felt unique, powerful and RARE.
Not to mention that I'm probably one of the few, but I hate the Night/Day clock, nothing was more annoying than trying to catch a day pokemon only for it to swap to night.
I wanna play R/B/Y again now(I only ever played through on Red, as I was never addicted, just played it for fun).
Also, the new monsters are just ugly.

Red and Blue were the only good ones.........Although I must admit Fire Red made me feel all warm and nostalgic inside. Seemed like the only thing that changed was that they added the option to be male or female.
I got Pearl and stopped playing as soon as I realized just about every pokemon was anthropomorphic, its like the game's only tailored to freaking furries these days. Yet there was still only like 3 fire pokemon in the entire game.

I've enjoyed all of them so far, sure its much of the same, but the introduction of a new types, abilities, skills and combinations was always interesting espcially in a PvP sense.
The only thing they really did wrong was, not continuing the traditional of the older open worlds like they did in G/S. they also could have had more depth in that side as well, instead of having it as a tack on.

Wow I knew people didn't like it but I didn't know that it was this hated. I hate to go against just about everyone but I see nothing wrong with where pokemon is. I like the majority of the new pokemon that have been added and I also like the additions made to the pokemon. I like how upgraded it looks because generally it is the same thing just plus. Especially the double battles, I can never get enough of those.
