Every time I see someone rage about the only one thing, it makes me want to make a thread "Am I the only one who opens the fridge with their right hand?" It's a figure of speech. They know they aren't alone in it, they're asking who else shares the opinion. Get over it damn it.

Even if you are not literally the only one, you can still use the expression. And if your not allowed to use an expression because it's not true, are we not allowed to say "Holy crap" then, because there is no such thing as "holy" crap.

People's problem with that expression is not whether or not it is literal or not it is that it makes the user sound pretentious. you might as well say "Surely since I am such an intelluctual no other person has felt the same way as I have."

Also, sorry if this lacks discussion value, I'm still relatively new when it comes to Forums and all that jazz.
I like your hat.

Yes. *Read's OP*
Oh heck no. I get that feeling ALL the time. It'd probably better this way around though. I remember a guy on here who used to make LOADS of threads. He had more posts than me, mainly because he always argued on his posts, but yeah. I always think of a kind of mediocre idea, and stop and think whether anyone would be interested. I prefer having a modest post count than having an enormous one. I think that guy got banned anyway...

YOU ARE NEVER THE ONLY ONE!

Stop making these threads. There are 4.6 billion people on this planet, at least one of them HAVE GOT to share your concerns.
I think it's actually alot closer to 7 billion, which makes your point understated.

Google: 6,793,248,608 as of December 2009.
Curses, the "Kill everyone" project has failed. (Hey I didn't make that up http://homokaasu.org/killeveryone/ ) This thread is turning quite existentialist, isn't it?

To answer your question OP I know the feeling all too well. Especially when I find it hard to believe something hasn't already been made into a thread but can't find anything relevant.

just post your threads if you think the ideas good.

if you cant think of one try posting interesting articles from online newspapers (dont forget to source them though!)

Hehe...

It seems people didn't like your first thread after all. Never mind. Keep trying, and don't make threads just to get replies.
