LOTR: The Third Age.
Bought it on a friend's reccomendation, but turn based combat and RPG levelling quickly got repetitive.
Never played on it since...
Oh my god yes I have to agree that is one of my least favorite games. When did you stop? I personally got tired of leveling up and how overpowered the enemies had become by Osgiliath... I didn't spell out the name I copied and pasted it from wiki.

Ocarina of time, after the tutorial level village thing.
Fable, after the opening cutscene.
Burnout dominator. During the tutorial level.

Please, tell me your name is sarcasm, or an ironic statement.
It would actually be pretty cool if it was.
I couldn't stand that game either; I rented it, pop it in, blew up a few buildings, stole a tank (I did that mini game thing) blew up a couple of more buildings before I realized how boring that game was; it took me no more than 20 mins.

Amazing graphics, pretty looking car design settings and vast amounts of mechanical business,
but the actual driving is pretty dull.

I'd add Ninety Nine Nights to the list. And Devil May Cry 4.
Hey, I have over 900GS in Forza 2 and even I think Ninety-Nine Nights is dull. That, and the Iron Man demo. It's like they took Rogue Squadron, added amazing amounts of abilities and options, and then wrapped it up in a weird UI and controls and dull objective system.

Additional note; Forza 2 is much less dull if you're driving a car with touchy behavior (requiring constant input to prevent catastrophe). Even with easy AI the Shelby Cobra Factory-Spec races are horrifically difficult.

Alone in the Dark, the new one. I can't stand to play it at all. I got to about the third level and have never put it back in.

Let's see... I get bored really easily so there is quite a list to choose from.

WH40k: Soulstorm - Three missions then I didn't pick it up again in single player for a month. I only started playing again because I would comp stomp with my brother. I still haven't beaten the game with a single faction.

Gears of War - I think I lasted an hour then uninstalled it. Maybe I just expect something different from a PC shooter but after the 20th corridor, the 10th hole in the ground, and clunky controls which made it a minor miracle if I actually got a melee attack in I just stopped.

Bioshock - I made it through the Hospital, I think, but then I was done. I'd probably spend more time on it if my computer was better but after like an hour or two it felt repetitive and I didn't care enough about getting more powers or weapons.

HL2: Ep. 1 - The first time I quit after I hit the surface. About a month or two later I picked it up and lasted to the warehouse then I quit. I have no idea how close I was to the end but I doubt I was far, I just didn't feel like wasting any more of my time on the game.

HL2: Ep. 2 - I installed it, started a game, and then just called it quits and uninstalled it before I got much of anywhere. I couldn't make myself care.

TF2 - I played TFC regularly for a year, on and off for another year and then almost never up until TF2. Fortress Forever kept me interested for a couple weeks then TF2 came out and I think I played for two or three days. Still haven't picked it back up. It just feels 2D compared to TFC, I miss my conc, rocket, and grenade jumping.

You lasted much, much longer than I did, I had just started the bit in Rohan before thinking, 'Why am I still playing this?'

I was so disappointed with Forza 2. I thought it was going to be a sim, and it just turned out to be an arcade racer with "sim" aspects. I just couldn't play that game for more than a couple days...I'm really hoping for a true racing sim, something like F1 2002 for the PC. That game was epic!

Around the 3rd Act or so
Yeah I just finished the fight with Vamp and was moving on to the mini fight between snake and liquid. Suddenly my power went out and when I turned it back on I could only get back to the stage before Vamp. After that I haven't touched it until the other day.

Fable II just isn't new, and isn't improving on anything. It feels like I've played it all before and for longer.

I was really only playing it because my parents are LOTR fans and I'm the gamer in the family. But don't ever pick it up again it's not worth it. It literally took me 6 years to beat one guy and right after that you get to fight a Nazgul as the elf girl ON YOUR OWN.
You lasted much, much longer than I did, I had just started the bit in Rohan before thinking, 'Why am I still playing this?'

That was the last one on the PS2 wasn't it?
It did feel like playing a DVD of deleted scenes.
Yeah that was it. It was the flashing and the noise on the tutorial, like someone was shouting "IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT" all the time. Made me very angry. So I got rid of it as soon as I could.

Ninja gaiden 2, I liked the first one but after a day of owning the second i got as far as i could (incase it changed my mind) then sold it back, it was just full of cheap kills which along with the uber-powerful weapons it over-burdens you with soo early i just got sick also the armadillo boss was the cheapest mother licker i've ever encountered.
Throughout the entire fight you can't block it's attacks then at the end it blows up in a mushroom cloud which you assume you can't block...WRONG you have to block the fekcing thing.

TF2 threw me off after TFC luvins, too. I love the idea of TF2, but after ten or twenty minutes I couldn't play it anymore, I still go back to it every now and then, just for little tastes...

I got bored of Assassin's Creed as soon as I found out I never got a crossbow (like the trailer lead me to believe).
I also got bored of GTA4 once the manual told me to climb a ladder by pressing "x" but it was actually "y". I tried playing GTA4 again, due to my friend's incessant demands, but I have not really found anything fun about it.
O, and I couldn't even finish the Mercenaries 2 demo...

mine is Devil May Cry the first one I did the first two, got stuck on the boss after and put it down, I havent touched it since.
Also Half-Life (1) my reasonbeing its way to long, it should have ended after the ninjas appeared for the first time after that the game felt streached and dull I used cheats to get through the last 6 hours (less than a quarter of my out game time) it felt like swiming in realy thick syrup.
I got bored of Timsplitters after half an hour, never touched it again.
Crackdown, I played for three hours and never touched it, literaly I never even touched the disk since I put it away all those months ago.
