So my brother and some friends are coming out to visit me in the summer and we're goin to do a little epic tour of western america.

Starting in San Francisco we're going to head out to Yosemite, hit shit up in Yosemite and the head on to Zion, same again in Zion and from there onto Las Vegas, big finale in Las Vegas where we blow whatever cash we have left and then back to San Francisco. We may add in some other cities like LA and maybe the Grand Canyon if we have time.

-Now the problem is getting from place to place, we can't figure out anyway between Yosemite and Zion and Zion and Las Vegas.

Do any of you know an easy way to travel those gaps? Buying/Renting a car is not an option.

Thanks for any help :)

I would look into taking a bus. It's usually cheaper than most other options, and it would probably be an interesting experience.

That said, I have no idea how valid of an option that would be where you are going to be (I have absolutely no experience with traveling in that part of the country), and I would certainly examine all of your options before making your decision.

Also you could look into the Amtrak which is a train service that goes all over North America. If you plan and buy your ticket in advance, it can be pretty reasonable. I know that they have stops at Yosemite, Las Vegas, and San Francisco, any other stops you would have to do your own research.

You only have two options. Car or Airplane. Unless you're are afraid of flying, Amtrak fees are higher they Airplane. Bus prices are about the same as flying.

Amtrak is pretty fun. No one really rides the train anymore out here, and it's pretty expensive. I'd go with the first poster's response and just go Greyhound (bus). It's not the more stylish way to go, but it's pretty affordable and they go pretty much everywhere.

Good luck!

Do you know of any companies? Greyhound don't go to Zion.

Is carjacking out of the question?
I've changed my answer. I second this one. Everyone does it in America anyway. I got car-jacked yesterday and I just counter-jacked someone else to get home. I assume she and her baby did the same. Kid looked like he had an ox.
