I saw the documentary in the OP some time ago. Watching it again made my blood boil, just as it did the first time I watched it. How a group of people can spread so much hate and say it's in God's name is completely beyond me.

The problem is that the entire "no gays" bit in the Bible refers to Sodom and Gomorrah. (Latter of which isn't in the Hebrew version) Like "Gay", it originally means engaging in "deviant" behaviour, rather than homosexual behaviour, but the two were blended together in the Medieval times, along with bestiality, etc. (Orwell's sexcrime) While Gay has been taken to be homosexual, sodomy has been brought along as well. Neither actually means homosexual acts, but both are taken as such. Similarly with camp.
