meh, let them die with their stupid ideas. Look at the video! No one listens to them, it's not like their message will spread. Sure the kids will grow up in hopes of procreating but I sincerely doubt anyone with half a brain would propagate with them as long as they believe that shit.
These idiots are twisted and insane. Who's to say that they won't inbreed?
In-breds are usually mentally retarded (and I don't mean that offensively, I mean that as a scientific observation), so I think we're in the clear even if that turns out to be the case.
To be honest I couldn't tell that family apart from a group of inbred, redneck hillbillies. The only thing that would be certain is that if they do inbreed they will become more crazy, depraved, dillusional, stupid and zealus.
Sadly, that is an undeniable possibility. Perhaps if that does happen our society will capture them and put them in a place in which they are not a danger to anybody or themselves anymore. We can only hope that we can legitimately silence them and save them from their own freedom.
Sooo, we're talking about sending them to Pluto?

I am quite proud to be an American where their brand of ignorance is allowed. I would hate to live in a land where self righteous people felt the need to brand anyone's beliefs illegal, cause if they can do it to them, they can do it to me.

Talk to them all you want, try to sway their opinion all you want, ignore them all you want, but it should never be illegal to have an opinion and to express that opinion - in a peaceful manner of course. My definition of peaceful being non-violent, shout all you want, protest all you want, don't hit or threaten anyone.

I think what he might have meant was where their brand of ignorance HAPPENS . . . not is legaly allowed . . . that whole free speach thing is by it's nature meant to be non barred up but hey, we all get effected by videos of people like that differently. I know myself I saw that and had a hand twitching into a fist . . .

its shocking that people misread the bible like that

at no point does it ever say no gay's
Actually it quite clearly says that. Specifically it says gay people should be stoned to death (it's in leviticus I believe.)

OT: I wish I could call them crazy but unfortunately stupidity is not a form of insanity. They are however among the most despicable people I have ever seen.
WRONG. I have a copy of the King James Bible right here. It says, "You shall not lie with a man as you do with a woman." However, the punishment in question is exile, not death or stoning. The punishment for homosexuality, incest, and beastiality is to be "cut off" from the people-exile, not torture or murder.
That's funny, because I have a copy of the KJV and it says that the punishment for homosexual sex is death (Leviticus 20:13.) Need proof?

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus%2020:13&version=KJV

http://bible.cc/leviticus/20-13.htm

http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/leviticus/leviticus20.htm

http://www.mechon-mamre.org/e/et/et0320.htm

I'm sure there are more but if you want to find them do it yourself. They all say the same thing. The Bible is pretty cut and dried when it comes to homosexuality. It's actually pretty funny to watch people skim over all this sort of stuff and cherry pick the peace and love parts.

That's not true, but it doesn't say to persecute them or treat them like they're less than human either. I'm a Christian, and while I may not agree with their lifestyle, the fuck can I do about it? It's their choice to make. Live and let live, you know?

On the subject of that Phelps guy, I'm shocked at how violently retarded he is. I think that the definition of the word retarded should be changed to mean any violently biased and ignorant person, in the same way that the term "fags" should be used to describe obnoxiously loud bikers.

Oh, and did anyone see in the Michael Moore video where he actually gets claustrophobic around gay people? Funniest thing I've seen in days.
ok what i was trying to say didnt come out right

but Live and let live is a bit of an iffy statement

Hey pol pott just wanted to kill everyone he thought was intelectual, he only commanded one of the largest genocides in histroy.

but hey livew and let live (btw i know hes dead now)

while i dont think people should be killed, somthing should definatley be done, if you saw a group of KKK telling black people to get out of there country would you say live and let live?
You're forgetting about the "let live" part. You can have whatever damn opinion you want, but verbally or physically attacking others goes against the whole "let live" notion. That's why these Phelps fucks shouldn't be able to hide under free speech, they're actively harassing people.

It happens everywhere. There is no magic stupid proof barrier around some countries. People are people no matter where you go.

There is no special brand of ignorance in the deep south of America, it just deals with religion, up towards the Northwest it deals with environmentalism, and in the Southwest it deals with yuppy consumerism - so called Californication, you get the idea, some of those the nation just finds a bit more tolerable right now. The biases, the hate, the ignorance, its all there - just about different things. It is currently unpopular to be the kind of devout religious they are, so the deep south is especially looked down upon.

I'm sorry I've got to stop you there. That is NOT the Deep South. That's Kansas . . . as Louisiana born I have to say, no . . . that's NOT the deep south, that's BARELY south at ALL if you ask me. you want deep south, go below the top line of the toe of Louisiana.

But you are right about one thing. In that area of "the south" it's about religion. But down here in the actual DEEP south, it's political. We're in a democratic majority, especially down in south louisiana . . . my family however, is republican. Personally. I'm not one to claim ANY of them as I think all the parties are inherently flawed as well as our system of politics. But regardless . . . the majority of the public doesn't like that . . . they don't want to hear that you don't claim, and they ESPECIALLY don't like it if you say republican . . .

(of course none of them like my choice in Religion either so oh well, but I was being called heretic before it was the "cool" thing to do too)

Texas, Louisiana, and Florida really are not part of the deep south. The deep south is more about mentality, and includes the areas more towards the center of the combined area of the states considered the south.

I find the Phelps clan to show the true beauty of America.

Other countries are executing homosexuals. Others will turn an eye if others kill them. Here we just have fucktards that will speak out against them.

And to allow such ignorance to be given the freedom to speak is beautiful. How do you debunk ignorance if you don't allow it to be presented openly?

Oddly, I would be proud as a soldier that they are saying what they are. Free speech is about the speech people would want to shut up, afterall.

I was reading "Addicted to Hate" it mentions that Phelps really 'loves kids' and an interesting idea came into my head; someone needs to pull a Donny Darko and burn his house to the ground then the police will find his collection of child porn and all will be well. Most of his followers will be disgusted and question what they are doing with their lives, the only ones who still suport his views would be too crazy to do anything so the plan is escentially perfect.

I don't think she'd be too pleased to hear someone make that joke though, lol.
They're "professional" trolls. Instead of handing out cards, they make picket protests.
