I'm sure there are more but if you want to find them do it yourself. They all say the same thing. The Bible is pretty cut and dried when it comes to homosexuality. It's actually pretty funny to watch people skim over all this sort of stuff and cherry pick the peace and love parts.
You're forgetting about the "let live" part. You can have whatever damn opinion you want, but verbally or physically attacking others goes against the whole "let live" notion. But you are right about one thing. In that area of "the south" it's about religion. But down here in the actual DEEP south, it's political. We're in a democratic majority, especially down in south louisiana . . . my family however, is republican. Personally. I'm not one to claim ANY of them as I think all the parties are inherently flawed as well as our system of politics. But regardless . . . the majority of the public doesn't like that . . . they don't want to hear that you don't claim, and they ESPECIALLY don't like it if you say republican . . .

I was reading "Addicted to Hate" it mentions that Phelps really 'loves kids' and an interesting idea came into my head; someone needs to pull a Donny Darko and burn his house to the ground then the police will find his collection of child porn and all will be well. Most of his followers will be disgusted and question what they are doing with their lives, the only ones who still suport his views would be too crazy to do anything so the plan is escentially perfect.
