I wish they were just properly in stock. That strike at the port authority screwed everything up. I just got a Wii U gamecube adapter.

AAAANNNND I STILL CAN'T GET ONE OF THOSE FRIGGIN THINGS AAAAHHHHHHH!!!! *smashes desk*

But seriously. I think Nintendo messed up big time as far as the Gamecube controller adapter thing goes. Like... there is most definitely a demand for it and it's just frustrating that people who legitimately have a use for it can't access one and it dramatically hinders the enjoyment and gameplay of one of their biggest titles (I've tried playing Smash on the Wii U gamepad and it gives my hands the worst cramps and is awkward to hold...and like, we all knew using Wii-motes were whack back when Brawl came out).

I love Nintendo but they have some great ideas but don't commit or follow through the way the need to with stuff...and that includes Amiibos too.

I can't really see myself seriously buying anymoooo....

You can check the forum post going back to the announcement. there were a lot people who thought it was useless because it only worked on one game. I was trying to defend it as a tournament fighting stick that people drop 150 dollars on. I don't think anybody knew what demand was going to be for it but what the guy at gamestop told me they're still making them so just relax and wait for pre-order announcement.

I didn't have doubt they'd make more after the clusterfuck of so many people trying to get one. But I'm just somewhat annoyed that one of my most anticipated games has basically been collecting dust for months because:

A: I can't play it comfortably since the brick of a gamepad causes bad hand cramping for that style of game so I have to stop after a half an hour.

B: Can't really play local multiplayer with friends which is like...one of the best things about the game.

C: The Pro controllers are great, but expensive and the off brand ones have a delay. It does make a HUGE difference when you're playing competitively. Wii-motes also suffer from this, and they are really awkward to use in Smash. I also like the idea of utilizing controllers I already have a lot of and are comfortable to use.

I think the adapter can get a lot of use if Nintendo actually applies it to other games instead of what they usually do and make an accessory that only gets use in one game. I think it would be perfect for Mario Kart 8, other fighting games, and would probably go over real well with Splatoon as well.

OT: not trying to rant, also trying to back up support of that device, and also a history Nintendo has repeated a lot and am also concerned the Amiibo will follow suit. It's such a great concept, but they haven't really executed it well beyond making them a collector item. They are doing one thing right in that some of them can be used for multiple games and they aren't exclusively compatible with one game.

I understand your comments about the other controllers. Not to make you jealous but using the gamecube controller on the Wii U was a thousand times better then the other options. I destroyed my friends LVL 50 amiibo's who usually hand me my ass. Again like my orignal comment its like buying a tournament fighting stick. Its actually worth 20 bucks for Smash alone. I don't understand why that controller works so well. Not sure if its muscle memory or that was the perfect controller.

I think they are a fun idea with potential. Having real world items that can effect an in game world has always appealed to me. However, they need to be A LOT Cheaper!
