Just grabbed this off of Reddit - using promo code THANKYOU you can get Amnesia for free using the OnLive system today:

Quite fancied giving the "cloud based" computing a go so a full free game is a nice start - had a little problem getting the client to run in my default browser (chrome) but when switching to Internet Explorer (9) it ran fine.

That's a demo...nothing to get excited over.
The link's a demo - but if you purchase it using the promo code, it's the full game for free.

Me too - there's been a few threads about the game recently and a fair few mentions in the Portal ARG that I quite fancied playing it myself - coupled with wanting to try a service like cloud gaming (which I'm sure Steam are eyeing for the future aswell as many others) it's a great double win :)

Arrgghh, well I tried, but it tells me that my cable internet has too much lag and when I force it again to try and connect, it causes an error.

is onlive also free or will it start giving membership charges?
AFAIK they never started the mandatory subscription when everyone went "That's BS!" at it. So, yeah: free. Although they are promoting an optional subscription service that gives access to a good slice of their catalogue.

On topic: I actually signed up and I have to admit that I'm surprised how well OnLive worked in the UK. Sure, it's prone to glitches, but that's what you get when you're trying to use a service that's based entirely in the US in Europe.

Can I run the OnLive Game Service on a Linux computer?

At this time, Linux is not supported.
Yeah, I'm gonna pass on this one. Call me as soon as they start supporting Linux, and I'm game

My computer sees Onlive as a virus. Both AVG and mcafee stopped it.

I have 3 antivirus programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG Anti-Virus full, and McAfee AntiVirus Plus, And they do not Conflict!
Edit: Fixed. It was something else I think.

Well that fucking sucks. my internet speed is not fast enough to use it. Can't they just let me DL the game?

Why...why would you use more than one AV, besides the associated risks and the additional resources it'll use?

I started up the game and it comes out blurry. I have no idea whether it's because of OnLive, my graphics card sucking or the game is meant to look like that. Still, thanks for the promo code

OnLive is streaming... like Youtube... for games.

That means that your computer, as long as it can run video, it can run the game.

Which means that your internet connection is probably wonky. So just plug in, don't go wireless, and you should be able to get it to work.

Think i forgot about the whole "cloud computing" aspect. Cool as a free game is, i can't do with playing a game like a youtube video, especially with my 40GB/month download limit.

Yay for the free game.
Nay for cloud computing: i expected a game, not something tied to their own browser like Steam does.
