I rather like...

Kicked the bucket.
Ceased to be.
Is an ex-[name here]
Is now a stiff.
A pusher-upper of daisies.
Popped his clogs.
Taking a dirt nap.

Doctors in the local hospital often mention that a patient has been transferred to the thirteenth floor.
Note that the hospital only has twelve.

There's a Dutch expression that transliterates as "giving the pipe to (St.) Martin". Though that's more weird than amusing.
sint maarten de pijp geven?
never heard of it...
Hij heeft de pijp aan Maarten gegeven. No idea if it's the actual saint, or just some obscure reference to some snippet of 1720's pop culture, but it's an expression I've heard occasionally.

Dead Parrot Sketch

/end thread
God damn! Ninja'd to the EXTREME!

I'd have to say that mine are:

1) Taking an all expenses paid trip aboard Stygian cruise lines.
2) Finally got his/her tab called at the bar of life.
3) Tending towards a state of chemical equilibrium.
4) Decided that Hell's got a better HR policy than the office.
5) Finally eligible for that Management position he/she was always after.
6) Gone to take his/her free kick at Hitler's backside.

Yes, and pop art. Roy Lichtenstein actually died in 1746.

No of course there wasn't, I was joking :p

"She's fourwheelin' with Jesus, now."

This was said by the pastor of a church in Cleveland Tennessee about my ATV-loving aunt. At her funeral.

My schools health class showed us the most unintentionally funny teen suicide awareness video of all time, it was so overacted my favorite line was "SOMETIMES I JUST WANT TO TAKE A PERMANENT NAP!" I use that in games now "Its time for you to take a permanent nap"

"You were almost a [Name] Sandwich!"
Fuck. Ninja'd

"I'm gonna send you to another dimension, one way!" Classic.

"[Name] did a back-flip into the lava." Not technically about death itself, but still hilarious. Quake 1 and Hexen II were just good for that.

Also:
"[Name] tripped on a grenade."
"[Name] smells like burnt hair." (again, pertains to specific deaths, but hopefully still counts)

"Your toast has been burnt and no amount of knife scraping will fix it."
Caboose from Red vs blue
Not sure if that's exactly how it goes but sounds about right.

Bought the farm.
Never did get that...

I was thinking it was related to 'mortgage' as well since it is 'death promise' after all.

I find "pushing up daisies" to be a bit creepy, but funniest to me is "died of lead poisoning" in reference to getting shot.
