xkcd is one of those things that keep my faith in humanity, even if just a little. Anyway, one of my e-mail accounts seem to be a magnet to this. It's usually just relegated to my spam box, but still.

I got a nigerian spam from an ACTUAL PERSON (as opposed to a computer-generated email). I gave the email to about 12 mailing lists. two weeks later i got another email from the guy, all it aid was "fuck you!"

I see these ones posted on Youtube sites, stuff like "go to this site to see young pussy" or something on those lines. Also on Youtube there's these spam things they do with "So and so was raped on her bed if you don't post this on 5 more videos then this will happen to you" and the worse thing about it is that people actually post them.

my days they are everywhere on myspace, its partly why i deleted my account because a stupid friend of mine thought they were real.

my sister (age 14) actually downloaded an 'anti-virus' program because our computer was 'infected' with '13 malware programs.'

it wiped my family desktop's hard drive.

i have my own laptop, however, so i laughed.

I almost did that once, back when I didn't know what a program was....

One that had me confused was the british lottery, I was like... I don't live in the UK...

But if any of you have watched Chaser's War, than you may have seen the stunt where Chas replied to a spam email where a Nigerian Princess was looking to have her fortune stored safely and need a trustworthy person. Chas sent the phishing site a reply saying that he thought he was in love with her, they replied saying that in order for her to be with him she needed him to trust him and for the trust to happen she needed his bank account details. Chas then asked for a photo, they sent one and then Chas googled "African woman" it was the first picture he found haha.

But yeah... I miss Chaser's.

And they sometimes have a little mock-MSN videochat thing,

"Hi, I'm Lonley"
"I've been naughty"

and there's a big "SXXIGIRL092 WANTS TO CHAT, OK?" attention sign,

The funny part is, behind the box, you can see that the "video stream" is a GIF of a few seconds of a girl looking at the camera. A common one is when the girl blinks, then her head jerks back into the beginning frame. It's quite pathetic

I recently got an email saying that my World of Warcraft account was under review because i would have traded stuff on the internet, so it asked me to send my account info and my payment information to a GMAIL account. Oh, and i almost forgot to mention that i dont even play World of Warcraft.

Since I use Hotmail I only got one spam so far but I don't remember it. The one that I remember is a spam my father got. In it a man claimed to be holding a Gold Mine somewhere in Africa, wanted us to send him money and said that he's looking forward to the cooperation of our families.

was she blond? i just wants to know, since thats probably one of the most silly things ive ever heard a woman do.

Unfortunately this is much to common... I work in a Computer Repair Shop and I have a few customers a month come in with fake AV's that have convinced them that their Norton/Kaspersky/Nod32 is wrong and needs to be removed for the other one to clean the 100+ malicious programs that of course don't exist.

Not an internet scam but some phone ones, here people trick others to, deposit money in a bank account or get them to buy cellphone time. The common scams are:

1. You won a prize and you need to pay for the tramit or need to give some cellphone time cards numbers to win the prize.
2. a relative of your was in an accident/prision/stuck on the border and needs some money to be realesed.
