Your impossible solution would cause humanity to reach the wrong conclusion more often then they do now. Most people lack deep knowledge or understanding of every dilemma and inconvenience our species faces. The real reasons the world doesn't get better is we live in an amoral universe that doesn't care about its inhabitants, and we are an intrinsically evil species incapable of maintaining any long-term improvements.

Morality is based on the observer, thus if humanity is evil, any human would describe humanity as good. Any one who would describe it as evil, would actually be the odd one out, and would become evil. And I have no clue what you're talking about when you say the world isn't getting better. Have you noticed that not everyone is starving now?
