On a more practical note, a silver fox, and/or a pet ocelot. Silver foxes just have an expense/living space barrier; they're actually very practical pets if you have those. Ocelots aren't legal anymore, I think, but they're some of the more practical "wild" cats.

Dog. My apartment won't allow them. It's not an "obviously" moment, but it's still a pet I want.
