Yeah, I cried at the end of Hunter X Hunter and Bezerk. Why? Because they ended too soon! Some of the best anime and they just had to be short. While crap like DBZ and One Piece go on forever.

Actually, there was one part in Naruto that made me cry, but that's only because it was something I could relate to.

Grave of the Fireflies.

I challenge anyone not to cry after watching that. Made all the sadder as it's based on the real life story of what really did happen to the author...

The only anime that has made me feel a bit weepy was Voices of a Distant Star.

Grave of the Firelies was sad but didn't make me emotional.

Every anime I have seen has made me cry. With frustration. Because they don't make any goddamned sense. Except Afro Samaurai. And Dragon Ball Z. They were awesome.

Cried? Never. Quite a few tugged at my emotions though. Off the top of my head:

Cowboy Bebop
Katanagatari
Code Geass
Death Note
Gungrave

Japan in general and animes specifically have a penchant for the dramatic. However, those 5 (that I remember off the top of my head) did it very right. Hit you deep, you know?

Then there are animes that hit you with the strong stuff midway through and leave you to recover, like (MASSIVE spoilers bellow):

[spoilers=Death Note]L's death.[/spoilers]

or

[spoilers=Macross Frontier]When Michel is killed while Clan is in the tank and forced helpelessly to watch him die to defend her.[/spoilers]

[spoilers=Code Geass]Code Geass is just one emotional punch after the other... Hard to name ONE moment, the whole thing is an emotional rollercoaster.[/spoilers]

Cowboy Bebop. The song "Memory" by the Seatbelts gets me every damn time. I get that distant look in Spike's eyes everytime I here it. Needless to say, it's on my youtube playlist of relaxing/thinking music. Look it up.
Both of these, and episode 8 of Gurren Lagann >.>

So sad :(

Grave of the Fireflies

If you said anything else, go watch it then come back here and edit your post.
I know that feel. Manly tears were shed. Also, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time has some pretty devastating moments. The ending of the Cowboy Bebop episode Speak Like a Child was also incredibly moving. The entire finale of Welcome to the NHK is also depressing as hell. One of my favourite animes.

I have to agree with a few people here and say Clannad too, some parts are just heartbreaking!

Aria the Origination, Kanon, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Three of those are my three absolute favourite anime, one was just overbearingly depressing until the end.

Cowboy Bebop made me shed a tear. It's such a bittersweet ending. Harsh, and you don't want it to happen, but at the same time it can't end any other way.

Nothing so far. However last episodes of Rozen Maiden came close to it.

Well, nothing.
Clannad: After Story came pretty damn close a few times, but i held firm.
Oh man, if you've gotta cry, that's the one to do it.

Later episodes of Higurashi came pretty close (when Keiichi realises what he's done), but otherwise little to nothing.

Gunslinger Girl (the manga), Angelica's hospital scene, although it's more that that allowed me to cry for a friend I'd lost.

I love stories that make me want to cry, but actually crying? Pretty much nothing.
