I tend to avoid confrontations so an apology is usually fine, especially in the form of a letter then I know you have put some effort into it and I don't have to speak to you about the subject.

Depending on how badly they have wronged me and if it was intentional or not, I am likely to just let it go. Otherwise, I may seek out some form of revenge. I will not seek them out to get an apology from them, they have to seek me out to apology to me if they are truly sorry.

Can I choose the "Get revenge and then apologize for getting revenge" option?
When someone apologizes, they're just saying or implying that they won't do it again and you can't really tell weather they're doing it because they're actually sorry or because they were forced to, but when you get revenge and they see the consequences of their actions, they learn that messing with you is not the best thing to do.
Although, if the revenge is too minor, it will just make them want to get revenge, but if it's too major then... well, it still legally counts as murder even if the guy deserves it.

It depends on how badly they've pissed me off. There are currently two people in the world on 'my list'. The first has annoyed the hell out of me, but if she came to me, admitted what she did wrong, and apologized, it'd be forgotten immediately. The other... Let's just say that the things I would want to do to her would squick out Saw fans.

I don't hold a grudge. I don't see any reason to seek revenge.

But I will kill you with a goddamn potato if necessary.

Like with everything depends on the action.

An apology for small stuff, restitution for damages, retribution for wrongs.

I dont do revenge.

I first seek an apology, but if i dont get one then i will get revenge in some manner, even if its quite some time in the future and not a very big in your face type of plot.

Does it count as revenge if they never realized I had something to do with it?

Now seriously, I rarely choose revenge, if someone wrongs me in any way, something I usually never even let happen I just start to ignore or turn my back on them. But I have to admit, I'm pretty "schemy" when it comes to revenge, the few times I really turned on someone they never figured I orchestrated the thing... good for me.

On the other hand, a simple apology, even if heartfelt never really works. If you've wronged me and are sorry about it, change your attitude, buy me a beer or whisky, explain why the f*** did you wrong me. That would work.

Well, it depends on the seriousness of the offense, some things are unforgivable, while others i can put behind me.

More often than not, revenge.

I have a habit of doing ironic things out of spite right back at them.

First few offenses, go for an apology. If it continues on, then revenge is your only option. It's okay to fight for the right cause. There are people who words alone will not reach.

If i thought they truly meant it when they apologised i'd be happy with that, if not i'd probably want some kind of revenge, even if its only something as little as me getting the last cookie in the pack, even though i wasnt hungry, i just wanted to screw them over.
Taking the last cookie in a pack is very cruel indeed. :(

I really don't have much uncertainty on the matter. Suffice to say...

Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha haaa... MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!

Oh, but I do enjoy my plotted revenge. They never mean it when they apologize! They mean to say "I'm sorry you caught me in the act!". That's why a sting is better...

I'm usually just so inscrutably nice to them despite being wronged, that they inevitably feel like huge dicks or everyone sides with me.

Revenge is always the answer. Did someone spill coffee on your shirt? Some good old fashioned shotgun-justice will teach 'em.

Unfortunately Gun Laws in Canada can be awfully strict... especially when the person trying to buy one is a minor.
Sad lil' old me. :-(... although it would appear to be easy to get one if you're part of law enforcement or a Hunter...

YOU SAW NOTHING!
...Besides, bashing someones face in with your fists and arms is a awful lot more satisfying.
Wait, is taking pleasure from causing those who have caused you harm physical harm back normal or should I get that checked our sometime?

It's a sliding scale. Some things require an apology, some require revenge.

On one hand, you've got things like... let's say your girlfriend cheated on you. Getting out the car paint and writing a few choice words on her windshield won't make you feel nearly as good as her saying "I'm sorry".

On the other hand, if someone kills your family, you want that guy dead. Him saying "I'm sorry" isn't acceptable at all.

I will say though, each option has to mean it. An empty "Sorry" is not going to cut it. Similarly, if I get revenge, it's going to be no less than twice as bad as what the person did to me. Don't get even, get ahead.
