I just thought of an idea that if implemented could address an issue that bothers some gamers. I despise when people use sexist or racial slurs in online multiplayer games. My idea is that game companies(or players hosting a server) could designate certain servers as "polite" Meaning that anyone who types or voices a slur would receive a warning and then get kicked/banned if they keep doing it. I'm assuming that voice recognition technology exists that could detect certain words or frequent loud outbursts.
This way, those who don't mind this behavior can go on servers that allow it and those who hate it don't have to deal with it. I know that right now in many games players have the option of muting anyone else, but I think this solution is better.
Does this idea sound good to you? Are there any flaws I haven't thought of?
