theres a bit when you get abushed by a couple guys who steal all your gear/money. after killing them both with the pistol and 20 bullets left beind, i recover my stuff. but not my money. money is hard to get in CS, and armour and guns are high maintenance. then i lose the 120000 i had collected, quite a bit
couldnt face it after that

I was walking around with over 100k, I received the little achievement for my money. I was playing on the Master Difficulty as well.

12k is chump change. That's like one artifact. :|

you misunderstand - i didnt lose 12k, i lost 120k
and we must have different play styles. in SoC i had no need for money, as i found all the ammo i needed and sold what i didnt. weapons couldnt be repaired anyway and armour basically didnt degrade. in CS, weapon sdegrade very quickly, and my armour got shredded by grenades

Oh. My mind must have played tricks on me as I didn't really believe that someone would lose 120k and omitted a 0 from my vision.

And I've thoroughly played all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. I've sunk a couple hundred into SoC alone.

reccently, Time Splitters: Future Perfect corrupted my 6 year old profile (and I had every character, all the challenges and arcade matches complete, and every level on hard done...) Oh, and a 5000 kill streak (it is possible, play Mars Prison Assult with dual machine guns) from when I was SUPER BORED for 6 hours.

I was playing dwarf fortress, my second fort, and I had just gone through about two hours of running things when my little brother turned the power off. Fuck.

A coupla days later I wanted to get back to the fortress and, remembering the stuff I did the first time, got through it quicker. Then I accidentally force quit it. Fuck.

The third time... you get the picture. I pretty much just abandoned the fortress at that point and went back to my old one build into a volcano.

Not so much a genre as a series of games - FFIV active battle system. I hate this system with such fury that I didn't complete the game, one of the few games I've had which I haven't completed, and also the only RPG I've had that I didn't complete. It's put me off all the FF games with that system.

Well, in GTA4, after you get a gun for driving a taxi for 5 fucking hours, the game introduces you to motorbikes and shooting from them in a mission where you have to shoot bikers. I noticed that this gameplay mechanic sucks and I couldn't hit shit. I thought of a quick solution: steal a truck, ram everything I should shoot and win. Ofcource the game decided that whenever I got off the motorcycle, my enemies get away. I ragequited.

This may sound like a minor thing, but I did try using the motorcycle pretty many times. Like 15 minutes of shooting air and flying around. Not cool.

I was saving up, didnt realise the game would pull a dick move and take everything from me. i found side missions would pay 2500, but to replace ammo and weaponry would generally cost 4000. and no matter how many times i took the stalkers objectives and killed everyone in the middle building of wasteland, the bloody stalkers wouldnt move in and capture it, so bandits would respawn
All of them? cool. i prefer SoC over CS. the twist towards the end i actually didnt see coming.
id like to play CoP, but my computer is pants and i cant afford to upgrade or by a new one right now. i could give it a shot, but SoC messed for me when it rained, so i dont want to try a far more recent game. ive got a job now, so hopefully ill be able to play CoP in a couple months

when i was trying to beat bioshock, i was at the arcaia lvl, and i was asking my friend how to do it, because i was stuck, and my other friend walks over and says "Did you find out that............." (i dont want to spoil anyones experience incase they have yet to play it) my mouth dropped and i was so pissed off, i still have yet to beat it because the spoilers ruined my experience.

I was kind of lucky as my uncle warned me of the dickery, so I just spent all of my money on guns upgrades e.t.c.

At that camp, if you're not enemies with the bandits they had a usb stick that sells for 15k. It's not much, but it's enough to get back on your feet.

The general community in online shooters. For each nice player who is willing to try teamwork you meet, there are at least 6 foul-mouthed 12-year-olds, 4 racists/homophobes, 5 guys playing loud obnoxious music on low-quality headphones, and 2 guys who don't even say anything, so all you hear is background noise. These numbers are based on an actual MW2 session I had. (Yes, I kept track!)

Bad voice acting. Do I even need to explain this? It was the reason I never finished FFX.

I hate this system with such fury that I didn't complete the game, one of the few games I've had which I haven't completed, and also the only RPG I've had that I didn't complete. It's put me off all the FF games with that system.

No way! The battle system from IV is the same one used from I through to IX!! I mean, it can get a bit dicey with the 'order is determined by Vitality times Speed times Luck divided by the amount of freakin Rice Krispies you had for breakfast' but thats just up untill VI. From VII onwards you have a choice between auto (That same style) and wait mode, Which means everything waits untill all the moves are selected, then sorts them according to Speed.

X-2 battle system and even X was just easily dislike-able. But hands-down 12 was the best. No 'random encounter' you see what you fight, 'nuff said.

i was playing borderlands and i got like a level 30ish soldier with an excellent weapon on every class and my save file got corrupted ive never went back to it since because i know ill never recreate that character again

Same happened to me, although I went back to it after 4 months.
