I was pleasantly surprised; those are very reasonable and doable ideas. However, this isn't an MMO, so the world can't be TOO large, because it would go from experience grinding to travel grinding.[/quote]
Thanks, man.

Many of these I have hoped for many, many times. Except for the open world experience. I actually liked the fact that you are restricted to a certain area because you get curious and try to re-explore everything post-Elite Four. But, I would like atleast ONE game OTHER than the Johto games allowing cross-region travel. Or atleast give us a map of the whole Pokemon world? Or some interaction with the other regions; for example, maybe an NPC of a previous player character arrives on a boat and oh, I don't know, offers once-a-week trade with him/her, offering you a Pokemon from his/her region?

Completely agree with what you're saying. I really agree about the open world thing. I really wish they would do more with the story. It's so rudimentary in most of them and that's a shame. I just finished SoulSilver, and the team rocket stuff was actually (for pokemon) engaging. I mean, they were dissolved and now they're trying to find their lost leader. GIVE ME MORE, NINTENDO.

I though it was cool how in HG/SS you could
Fight Red and Blue once you went to Kanto
Cross region travel was also interesting because you got to see Kanto three years after. Getting to see what happened to all your old friends blew my mind. We definitely need to have maybe a different storyline in the same region or something similar like a direct sequal to a game.

Nintendo events are absolutely infuriating. NO, I do not want to travel to a fucking MECCA in order to get a fucking piece of code that is already in my game!

Rerelease Red and Blue, with only the first 150 Pokemon, and these changes, and I would be a happy man. I may even buy a handheld console again.

Is there any realistic way to get this thread on Shigeru Miyamoto's desk

The next Zelda also needs to be revamped...we need more interaction

The formula is golden, but anything can be improved. Nintendo is too comfortable releasing the same golden formula over and over again. We need the influence of a company that thinks outside the box and isnt afraid to take risks.

I love Nintendo, but I wish they'd partner up with Bioware and jointly create the most epic
Pokemon/Zelda titles ever

Nintendo could also learn from Blizzard and create an online forums where they get consumer feedback such as this thread.

Yeah
Die-hard competative pokemon battler here,
I think everything in this letter is not only a good idea but totally do-able but guys what u have to remember is, nintendo really targets children, im not saying its childish or ur a child if you like it but thats how they make their money is by making games for kids, and kids today want a game thats easy to get through and fun to play and adding all this extra stuff for nintendo would be like apealing to few but disapointing thousands.

I think the 1 rival thing is justified. Your rival's chosen pokemon is always meant to be it's strongest and it is meant to be the opposite class of your's. Now if a 2nd one was thrown into the mix, he/she would be forced to take the last pokemon left. The one that is weak to your type. That Rival would be at a huge disadvantage and the battles wouldn't feel like a challenge.

The customization thing is also a little much. Your character doesn't ever talk nor is he doing the actual fighting. I never felt attached with the trainer I was playing and making him look like me won't really change that in my opinon. It would like playing Pokemon with a Mii.

The side-quests idea is pretty good thoguht.

im 22 and went to gamestop for thr shiny pichu and jirachi, nobody gave me crap for it. I didnt announce to the world why i was there or anything you know, but its silly to be afraid of getting weird looks from strangers. who cares. also if you miss a nintendo event it is your own fault. they run most of them for at least a month and give a two week notice before they start,

make pokemon in sets of three,
those "two trainer" battles in Ruby were my favorite part, maybe make like, a team like in most rpg's.

Pokemon was always sort of an open world place, to me anyway, but the world does need to be larger (Like all the maps from all the Gameboy games) and the style needs to be updated a little. The contest idea is fruity, forgive the expression, and the Legendary Pokemon are getting stupid. In fact, the further Pokemon go through the series, the uglier the Pokemon get. They look like baby toys now.

I would like the action generally sped up, or at least allow me to speed it up when I feel like it is necessary. I just find a lot of the battles so slow.
Oh, and it would be nice if more information could be given during the battles. I don't know the later generations very well, and I shouldn't have to resort to a wiki to find out what I can use to counter this Pokemon that I have never seen before that my enemy is about to send out.
