Bring back a company you shut down because you desided to by a casual gaming comp and ill believe you.

But Pachter added that he expects good things to happen for EA in the next fiscal year, driven by "lower headcount, fewer facilities, fewer games and a growing digital business. This time, we think that EA is on the right path."
Thanks to massive lay-offs and downsizing, EA can expect to have an excellent fiscal year. I wonder how the actual year will go for all the former employees...

I don't get why these "industry analysts" think they're so special? Anyone who follows gaming news can easily and do easily make these conclusions on their own.
They're paid to make predictions about economic goings-on, not regular jerk-off speculations. Of course this time around there doesn't seem to be much difference.

a) When were they ever supported? It has always been cool to hate on EA.
I'll forgive you for not remembering the 80s, since your profile suggests you weren't alive then, but they were kind of awesome for a while there.

It's the "digital business" end I hope comes to bite them in the ass. Aim low EA, you seem hell-bent on ruining your customer base, so don't expect a good year.
Sorry man. Like it or not, it's the direction everything seems to be going. And a lot of people prefer it.

Every time I see a game I haven't played, I think "Hmm, maybe I'll get that one...". Then I see it's published by EA and think "Well, it may as well not have multiplayer at all but let's have a look...".

Then, after finding out the main sales pitch is the multiplayer, I put it back down.

EA have ruined many a game, including the Bad Company series, through terrible online server management and pushed back release dates for countries outside the US (Australia, for instance).

The reason for the next thing I say is because they have those stupid EA Nation accounts and godawful servers, which they INSIST upon using, and almost always not allowing us to host our own games at all on consoles and having to pay on PC.

So I hope they have a rotten year, and end up going belly up. It'll do the gaming industry a lot of good (IMO).
