So This morning at 'The Downunder Bar' in my home town Brisbane, I wound up in a fight with an asshole I can only decribe as SLIME.

Long story short. I ran into and befriended a group of out-of-town girls. They were out to party but had made it clear that they had boyfriends. We went to said bar enter said slime ball. This **** - please forgive me for using such language- was feeling up every girl in the joint. I called him to issue when it came to the ladies I came in with. Needless to say the man was SLIME. called him to issue several times however held myself in check - partly because I was weaker than the man but to hell with that shit...

Eventually it came to blows. I called him out as slime but wouldn't start a fight. The asshole to the entire bar adressed me as a ******. No way in hell I could let that be.The man had me by the throat - attempting to choke me to death apparently. Of coarse the guy would have won but I couldn't stand back and watch this prick do what he was doing. The bouncers arrived and broke us up. I was going t be escorted from the premise but reassurd security I was fine an I just needed to 'center myself' I sat the fuck down and tried my best to calm down. Somehow the mother-fucker got back in an proceeded to throw me into the ground - opening me up quite badly - before being dragged off by police.

You know... any other time of the day I probably wouldn't have cared. But fuck it I did! This prick was an ass to every woman in the whole joint. The bouncers and some patrons even agreed with me and applauded me for my actions.

This post is as much a rant as anything but if you have any comment or similar situation you wish to share with your brothers and sisters on the Escapist please do

Bravo, Bravo! Good show, I say.
Thanks! Although I'll have to say my jaw and head are telling me otherwise. At the same time though; no way I could have looked myself in the mirror had I not done what I did

Damn well done, pricks like that make me sick. I forcibly ejected a few from my house back when I was in college and holding a couple parties, earned myself a few bruises along the way too. It's going to ache, but better you be proud of that than sorry you didn't do anything. Way to stand up for what was right there.

There's chatting up a lady and there's sexually harrassing a lady without permission. This man was the latter!

I applaud your actions, sir. Would I have been in your shoes, I can only hope I would have done the same.

Normally, I advocate pacifism, but he sounds pretty mean. Well done for standing up.

This calls for a Rocky-esque training sequence after which you beat SLIME to a pulp.

Best course of action would be to alert the bouncer. That“s why they are there. It would save you a few bruises. I applaud your bravery but the man could be armed for all you know. But you did the right thing, ethics-wise.

Cheers.

Well played good sir, well played.

I have broken up bar fights before by stepping between parties, but people tend to scare away due to my size so I really can't claim any matching bravery on that end.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go against the trend on this thread and warn caution here, technically that could count as assault depending on who actually started the physical violence and the laws in your local area. Unfortunately you don't make it clear exactly how far this guy was going so I can't judge at the moment if he deserved a beating, but there's only a few cases where I could condone violence and unless he was bordering on sexual assault in this case I disagree with your course of action. I'm also not sure why if he really was acting so badly the bouncers didn't just kick his arse out rather than letting a patron get involved before doing anything.

Only too true and normally would be the case but...GRRRR... such a man is contemptable. But dammit yes you are right and I should have done what you have stated

a hero stands up to a bully.
doesn't have to beat him in mortal kombat to be deemed heroic so long as you stopped what he was going. good job

So This morning

You sir get my weekly internets allowance, plus a drink on me should you ever enter my local bar.

Also next time you get in a fight, go for the follwing vunerable spots:

- eyes
- nose
- nuts
- temples
- knees (back or side of)

A hefty blow or jab to any of these points will renter your attacker fairly useless/stunned for a good 10-30 seconds.

Self defence ONLY you understand?

Weeelll the buncers broke things up before it got too bad (Although even they were wondering how the fucker got back in to beat me up). In reality I disagree with my course of actions but at the same time this guy was tring to touch these ladies up despite they're protests...or maybe ecause he knew he would get a ride out of me?...Who knows
