Tonight February 4, 2011 is the start of Janet Jackson's concert tour which start here in my country the Philippines.

Then out of nowhere 10 members of Peta's Philippine division who dressed as Grim Reapers protested outside the the place where the concert will take place and said that they condemn Janet's endorsement of Furs there in the US.

Fortunately it didn't hamper the success of the concert.

I don't know about you guys, but these is one of the reasons why I can't take Peta seriously (wherever country they are), they are just trolls, attention seekers, much like those bastards from WBC.

People for Ethical Treatment of Animals.

If we could manage ethical treatment for HUMANS, we wouldn't have as much of a problem with ethical treatment of animals.

However, one is entitled to their opinion, no matter how ill-informed.

That's a bit harsh. As much as I don't like PETA, the WBC is on another level altogether.

If they actually said they "condone" Janet's endorsement, then they've REALLY failed.

At any rate, at least they're harmless. They're allowed to do stuff like that, I say let them go for it. It won't change a thing, but at least they'll feel better.

Meh at least someone tries.

If it wasn't for groups like peta then we would have a lot of extinct species and companies would get away with treating animals a lot worse.

People complaining against peta seems to me like people with too much time on their hands. They are doing something they believe in and their cause is just even if their means are not perfect. Slamming peta for trying it pretty lame.

I find it funny that you actually believe PETA has done anything to actually help their "cause"

Well, gotta say, they're good. I was going to link to an article I found years ago about how the founder of PETA was a member of another animal rights group, but decided they weren't militant enough for her and started her own. (along with scanned documents and the like proving it) On searching, however, any information I can find on her scrubs this little bit of history and makes her out to be some sort of saint. Of course, it's not that hard to hide information that only a few people know.

Still, the experience has left me feeling like someone has taken something from me that can never be replaced. Truth.

Eugh. PETA.

They are the worst. Just the worst thing. Damn near every animal they 'rescue' they put down within weeks.

oops! that's the wrong word, you're right it should be condemn.

thanks for noticing.
I thought it was. :)

It confused me for a second there. I was trying to understand who was arguing against who.

I dunno about that man. Lest we forget the WBC.

OT: Meh. PETA's full of douchebags, but at least they're harmless and are sticking up for something they believe in. Their cause makes sense, they just have... Peculiar methods.
