What annoys me most about what is going on with "The Hunger Games," is that the guy directing it, is more of a "script writer" then an actual "director." He's only made two movies, and yeah one of them was alright, but it wasn't great. His filming style is nothing of what I would have expected "The Hunger Games" to be like.
I also feel like he hasn't captured the weirdness and absurdness of the capitol at all. When I read the books, it felt like the people, in the capitol, were completely alien, and different to Katniss and that she could not relate to them at all.
It's got great idea, and honestly the resemblance to Battle Royal is yes indeed their, but the only similarity is the kids killing each other to survive. That is it. It's a sick idea, that it's watched by people in the capitol who love to watch these yearly "games" as these kids kill each other. They watch it for fun.
I just hope they make it gruesome like the book is, it's horrific, it should be MA15+ at least. If it's PG, something is very wrong. It'll probably, hopefully be M.
I hope they don't make it "Tween" friendly.
