Actually, digging a little deeper, it looks like there's really nothing to see here. This is just another one of the evil Dark Knights from Dark Nights: Metal. You know, that series where the villains were all evil composite characters of Batman? Batman/Joker, Batman/Aquaman, Batman/Doomsday, Batman/Flash, Batman/Cyborg, Batman/Wonder Woman, Batman/Green Lantern? Yeah, the Grim Knight is another one of those and part of the follow up to that storyline.

Yeah, this is nothing surprising or all that detached from the usual alt-universe fanfare. I'd only really hate this if mainstream Batman suddenly decided Punisher was cool. They can make all the Dark Age throwbacks they want.
