dragon siege 3 on hardcore. when you die, and your partner decides to stand on your dead body and attack everything on the field with her painfully weak terrible attacks that dont even do any damage for 2 minutes straight instead of taking the half a second to revive you, then tries to revive you once there is 5 - 10 enemies completely surrounding her beating the everloving shit out of her and she dies before she can actually accomplish anything that isn't a complete waste of time, making you have a game over and needing to reload the last save for the 10th time...

Broke my table after the half life 2 episode 2 ending after i realized the game was left on a cliffhanger for three years and that I'd probably have to wait another 3 years for them to explain the fucking point for what happened.

Edit: scratch that, i just remembered the time when i was playing halo multiplayer big team battle and the game was 99-98 me being on the latter team and I was charging with a revenant to kill 3 enemy players when suddenly the game freezes, i wait for a whole minute and when i get back to the game a tank has spawned partially inside me and since im charging and the revenant is low on health me and my friend die and the enemy team wins and i break my controller.

Burnout 3. Trying to drive smoothly at break-neck speeds, only to crash into a fucking 2-seat car that annihilated you, even though you can easily om nom trucks as long as they are other players.

But it's actually not the whole crashing part that I rage at. Well, perhaps a bit. It's the fact that when I crash I can't just get back into the game. No, I have to watch a fucking slow motion cut-scene of me crashing, permanently printing it into me of how terrible I am.

And somehow, despite all this, I have actually never broken anything. I might have been near though, because when this happens I shout, and try my very best at squashing the controller with my hands.

Burnout Revenge made me scream into a pillow, but it was still so loud that everyone in my house heard it. I still love that game, though.

Call of Duty 3 made me throw a controller, but I regained sanity right before throwing it and just kind of dropped it instead. Phew. Same thing with Eat Lead: Return of Matt Hazard during the dark room level. After 30 tries on that level, I quit and sold it. Never looked back.

Far Cry 2 made me re-do 30-40 minutes of stuff because of the stupid save system. That made me pissed off too.

I'm sure there were many other occasions, but those are the ones that come to mind.

I don't throw controllers when I get mad, cuz my older brother has broken some 7 controllers in his gaming lifetime, and I think its a waste of hardware.
Everytime I get super pissed, I turn off the game, and play something else.

But I rage on a regular basis when playing MW2.
Most of the time, I just turn it off. But when I don't, and keep playing, I get into a simmering rage where I am still super pissed, but I am just much better at the game. Someone kills me, I respawn, throw a grenade halfway across the map, and am rewarded with their face painted all over the walls. I get quickscoped, I switch to my UMP class and jump over their bullets as I empty the magazine into them. Last night for example, I went 4 rounds of S&D without getting a single kill, and died to such ridiculous bullshit every single round. Quickscoped headshot through a wall that I know you can't fucking shoot through, noob tubed off of a wall 20 feet away, guy who killed me because of lag even though I was 10 feet AROUND a corner away from him, and finally someone that knifed me after I shot them twice with my shotgun...

The next game I went 13 - 0.
I was pretty fucking mad going into the game, but was smug as hell after the next round :3

There is no one time I have been angriest. I used to (and still do to an extent) get really pissed off at some games.

Fun story: I once got so angry I picked up my Xbox Controller (for the original xbox) and smashed it against it as hard as I could. My Xbox Crystal must be as strong as fuck, because all it did was scuff. This was a proper massive swing, too.

WoW - Raiding Naxx, my old laptop used to crash quite a bit, getting on a bit. So anyway we were at the last boss and my computer freezes...I punched the screen and it broke.

Final Fantasy 7, my first playthrough at the final savepoint before the point of no return, final bosses etc. I couldn't beat Sephiroth after numerous attempts (I was new to rpgs at the time so didn't quite get all the levelling concepts yet.) I decided to play from the beginning of the game again just for the hell of it, then come back to the final boss later. I reached the first savepoint...well I think you can guess what happened. It did teach me to keep multiple saves though.

Also, GTA: Vice City...The Driver *grits teeth*

Dead or Alive 4.

That bloody blue dishwashersubstance final boss.

Many controllers were lost. And yeah, ragescreams and also a headset got broken.
oh yeah! i remember that guy. if i wasn't at a friend's house, i probably wouldve shattered a controller and the tv then tossed it out the window (though the last part is because it always looked fun to me.

Ninja Gaiden Black got me pretty mad at some points, especially on the hardest difficulty. I almost had to replace my controller.

While I get upset playing games sometimes, it's only when the game is at fault (as in a glitch, or error) that I get truly angry. That said, the angriest I've probably gotten is while playing Rock Band 2. I know it's sort ho-hum for this topic, but a very challenging song was about to be beaten for the first time, and the dang game ceased to register my bass pedal hits. All four of us lost because of it, and the pedal had suffered no damage - it simply was not registering, and worked fine for the next thousands of songs........... I broke the drum set and had to get a new one..... :x

I completely obliterated my gamecube controller when I fell through the floor for the 872384695384762783465th time during Sonic Heroes' final boss fight.

Losing all the beefed up items in my inventory on Izuna 2 because I didn't save my progress before the battery in my DS died. Moral of this story: always have your charger nearby and ready in case of battery emergency.

Doing the Boss Rush mode on MGS: Portable Ops.
I get onto the last guy with my last guy, have to dodge the attack at a very precise time when he starts doing it. I get him to less than 10% (this is after many attempts at Boss Rush in general, mind), he hits me with a knife, I die.
Flung the PSP onto the floor. Amazingly, it survived.

You know, I really, really don't wanna sound pedantic or anything here, but... I threw a remote against a wall when my dad died. Later, I smashed a plate when my dog died. But breaking shit, and expensive shit at that, over a video game..?

I dunno... I think self-control is in short-order.

Shao Khan from MK9 or Seth from SSFIV on the hardest difficulty... both of them make me want to scream. Sooooo cheap, utterly annoying... but why can't I stop playing?

Not really anger, but utter frustration to the point it gave me HIVES! No other experience so far in my 27 years of life has come even close to that amount of outrage. It was the Red Dragon boss in Demon Stone, a PS2 brawler hack'n'slash from the guys who made the Lord of the Rings hack'n'slash movie tie-in movie games. Your supposed to stun it with a spell, but unless you stood in a VERY precise spot, the spell would BOUNCE off him, hit your mage and eventually kill him. The whole last bit of the fight was arduous for after that you had to jump on the buggers head with the parties rogue, and that TOO was laced with horrible hit detection. It took me more time to beat that boss than any other besides Ruby Weapon from FF7, and I cheated for that one. 4 hours after working a 9 hour night shift at the docks and a case of short-lived hives. I enjoyed every other level of that game though.

*sigh*

Most recent one was in Final Fantasy XIII there was one of the Eidolon--the one for Shaz. I always kept forgetting to upgrade him so it was hell for that boss fight. I yelled I stamped my feet, I punched the wall (nothing happened to it but my hand was sore for weeks)I stopped playing, it lay in my game collection collecting dust

Another time was in Ninja Gaiden 2, the fish sewer thing. I got so pissed I threw the controller and started screaming obscene horrible things. It's unfinished along with FFXIII

Then a long time ago I was playing Jet Set Radio I had to grind all the way down this tower and get a specific amount of points and I was so pissed after weeks of trying to do it I nearly broke my dream cast but witheld but then when I finally passed it I threw the control to the floor and yelled "TAKE THAT ***** TOWER!" I was then slapped upside the head by my mom.

Alpha Protocol. There is a great game under there, but it is just covered in the most annoying game-breaking bugs I've ever encountered. They always hit at the worst times, too. Combine that with the fact that you can't really save your game, only save your last checkpoints, and I've ragequit that game more often than I care to admit.

Also obligatory Modern Warfare 2 post. Seriously, whoever was in charge of balancing that game must've been drunk or just incompetent.

My little brother rented Pokemon Channel when it was new because there hadn't been a bad Pokemon game yet. I hated it as soon as I tried it, but he would constantly play it. I tried to strangle him once because of it.
