This.

Angry Joe is a loud douche with an undeserved ego, and not in a particularly entertaining manner. It doesn't shock me at all that he'd act this way with someone from customer service.
Yeah, I remember when he threw a hissy fit when Rooster Teeth called him out over some Nintendo thing.

If you hate Angry Joe for whatever reason, I have no problems with that.
I don't hate the guy. I just don't like him. He's too emotional. In fact he's not analytical at all. I genuinely think that he's stupid, poorly educated, obviously not a reader, he doesn't do almost any real research and he's got a shitty online personality. And the worst thing is that he doesn't learn from his mistakes and he doesn't improve. Ever. Those are all very negative qualities, not just for a game reviewer but for a human being in general.
That more or less sounds like Moviebob or Richard from Review Tech; though those two are arguably way worse. Richard was once a decent guy who now suffers from self-hatred and a huge insecurity complex. This a man in his late 30s that will hate on other gamers for being in the same range or older than him, yet will act like he's different from the rest. Not mention him attacking other YouTubers who did nothing wrong to him other than having a hobby or uploading videos they enjoy doing. Richard went from tech and game review content to another loud attention whore who "reports important news" by being some wannabe internet tough guy. After the incident with Yoshiller in 2014, he lost a subscriber, and the same thing might happened with Angry Joe in the future.

The correct word is aspire (in case English isn't your first language - user vocabulary updated). And no I don't. But I can't change my entire personality.

I also never said that people should lack emotions to be good people or good reviewers. You can be analytical about emotions as well. But Joe isn't. Joe only knows how to rant uncontrollably.

I don't particularly like Movie Bob. I consider him to be a manchild and a massive fanboy, but at least he knows his shit. Even when I disagree with him I can't deny that he knows a lot about movies and the movie industry. He also does research. I guess you could say that he can be educational, if one assumes that pointless stories about the origin of some obscure comic book character is in some way educational. At least he can tell you something that you wouldn't know even after you've seen the movie he reviewed, or something that might help you see a movie or a character from a different perspective. Angry Joe can't do that. He's all about the surface level, the thing that's obvious even to a blind person.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I've never had issues with Amazon, then again I don't preorder through them. I did have something similar happen with Logitech. They used to have awesome customer support but the last time I called I was stuck on hold for an hour then the guy who picked up didn't really speak english and it took him forever to go though the usual trouble shooting steps, which wouldn't have done anything since the problem was the cord between the mic and the headset so plugging it into another usb wouldn't do shit. It shouldn't have taken him 5 damn minutes to move to the next step. The worst part is that after waiting for this guy to go through 5 min at most of troubleshooting, which actually took him an additional 30 min, he finally looked up the warrenty and saw it was out of warrenty so I couldn't get a replacement. Normally that would be fine, but it shouldn't take a fucken hour and a half to find that out.

I don't have Amazon where I live, so no context from me. Hell, I don't think I have ever even bought something online.

It's just what I know from years being on that side of the counter, the best way to get good service is to be nice as possible... initially. You can always be a dick later, but you can't be a dick first and then be nice. Doesn't work like that.

Am I Wrong?
Having worked retail as well, I entirely vouch for this. The people you are dealing with 99.9% of the time had nothing to do with your issue occurring. They honest-to-God want to help you out as best they can; treat them like a fucking human being. Of course, always fight for what you need if they aren't being helpful but give them a chance to be before assuming they won't.

tldr: It should be government mandated that everyone in the country needs to spend at least 2 years working store-front retail and/or customer service positions.

Before even that, it should be mandatory that schools (and *gasp* parents) teach intangible values and a healthy dose of stress management at every grade level. I know society's problems aren't that simple, but some self-awareness, personal responsibility, empathy, and acknowledging that solutions to problems don't always fall into people's laps would go a long way towards preventing jack-assedness.

Thank you, Kaimax. I wish I found out sooner as this happened nearly 2 years ago, but what happened happened. Welp, see ya never again Joe. I'd say it's been fun, yet this past year has been more of downer with you. You just lost a subscriber.

And Kaimax, have a blessed one.

It is shit like that that made me hate him. That and I met him in real life, he is one of those types that will insult you for having different opinions.

Also the last thing I remember about him was that he got in trouble for something about a raffle and a PS4. Don't really recall the specifics but that it was dumb.

Devil's advocate time, i'd have thought that a man going by the name angry joe would infact be angry. I mean that is his whole persona right? That is how he makes his living after all, its not a secret it's not like he pretends to be calm and rational.

Everyone complaining that joe is an angry dick seem to be missing the point somewhat. Love the guy, hate him do whatever you want, im not being judgemental i just find the irony amusing.

On a completely unrelated note, i am killgore the bloodcrazed, my hobbies include performing the tea ceremony and flower arranging, nice to meet you.

I don't watch Angry Joe, but if everything said about him in this thread is true, I'm never ever ever ever going to. What snippets I've seen of his work paints a picture of a genuinely low IQ person with an enormously inflated ego. His analysis seems simplistic, his vocabulary limited, he seems to lack any kind of original thought and his skits are every bit as cringy as Spoony's back in the day. Even his name is bland as shit. Oh you're angry? Well stop the fucking presses! Honestly, how many internet content creators are so unoriginal that they just pick a name like "That some guy" and use adjectives like "raging" or "angry". Is everyone being angry a manifestation of the creators starting out very young, and as a result having anger be their most prominent emotion? AVGN gets away with it because he was a pioneer and deliberately playing a specific stereotype. And in those days the stereotype was at least somewhat grounded in reality because gaming was massively worse than today: games littered with bugs could never be fixed, bad games, derivatives and shovelware were everywhere and most games were ludicrously hard in order to stretch out their playtime. "Angry Joe" is just an average Joe who's... angry for some reason I guess.

Yeah, true. However, why does he use his persona in his public announcements? Even AVGN leaves his angry act aside in all his non-AVGN videos.

PS: I find funny when people say "I'm going to be devil's advocate", when it's just that their honest opinion is the unpopular one in the discussion.

I guess the whole angry persona thing is partialy his own personality aswell as somthing done for youtube, if that is true then it explains the use of the angry persona in "public annoucements". Pure guess work but it makes sense to me.

As for the devilish advocation i personaly don't have much of an opinion on joe which is why i used it, like i said earlier i just found the irony of people being angry about a guy famed for angry stuff kinda funny.

I think it is pretty understandable why people would 'hide' behind being a devil's advocate in order to voice an unpopular opinion. No one wants to be ostracised for relaying thier opinions, but the internet and the nature of communication on it make such actions far too easy, if many other people have already voiced the counter opinion then it will probably happen sooner or later to the first person who disagrees.

Forums in particular are pretty much just echo chambers for one type of opinion, very few people go into them seeking to change thier views on a topic, instead they go in to reafirm that they made the 'correct' judgment.

That last part is just my own experiance about forums talking, so take that with as much salt as you want.

Good day sir/madame.
