No, no.

Does the fact it took me a few reads to get the joke say something about my intelligence or perceptiveness?

Now, the question is does the fact you didn't get that say something about YOU?

:p

I think it says something about both of you in this case.

For one, it's obviously your goof for not getting the reference in the first place even though it seems you know what it is a reference to. But it's not something that speaks about your intelligence as much as it does your perceptiveness. Often times you need to be in the right mindset to catch a reference the first time around. But the more you read it the more likely you are to catch it coming around again. Nothing really to worry about as it happens to everyone.

It also says something about the one who makes the reference and their inability to read their audience. Yes, I could go read off a joke from Dresden Codak about exorcising Leplace's Demon by placing the subject in between the positive Phlogiston and the negative Noble Savage to a group of 16 year olds who appreciate Dane Cook's drivel over a joke of higher intellectual nature and not find a person who understands. But that's more my fault, not theirs as I made a joke that might have been over their head. Not to say you're a Cooktard though.

I wove cats! I have two (Well, technically they're my parents but whatever), Big Lion George (So named because he's massive and ginger) and Smokey Joe (So named because he's gray. Not a ugly gray, it shines in the sunlight). If I could name a cat it would be Beodac.

I used to have a cat called "Cat".

It was a tribute to a John Wayne film in which he had a dog called "Dog".

I was going to call the cat "Dog", but my then girlfriend talked me out of it, hence "Cat".

before all the twilight references come in a decimate it; would he be a Bengal cat? they have a rare gene unique to the breed so their fur 'sparkles' in the sun light. One of the reasons why i'm wanting a bengal :3

I don't know, I'll have to check it up. I know the others a Maine Coon though.
Funnily enough, that cat looks just like him... Odd...

I would've thought you'd have called them "Blackbeard" or "Long John Silver" :p.

In all seriousness, I guess there's always Schrödinger or just Schrödy for short.
That took me a few reads to get the joke.

Does that say something about me? >_>
Not really, no. I was actually expecting you to be the OP with a thread title like that.

OT: One of my favorite cats was named Shrodenger. Awesome black cat that would follow me around the house day in and day out, slept on my chest at night, and was all around fun.

I loved that cat...

If you get a male cat, name him Psycho.

For the lulz.

If you get a female cat... well, I think Pandora is a very pretty name, as well as Brynhilde.

Christian is a nice name for any gender, I think.
