I don't think knowing a kid had a disability would change how i felt, considering that i'm forcing my way through work each week, extremely tired, i just want some peace, and now i'm listening to a kid screaming for hours.

Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't write a letter telling them all to die, but knowing what people are like i wouldn't expect the parents to try any harder to shut the kid up.

I hate un-necessary noise but whoever wrote this is going way the f**k too far! I feel one of my very rare C-Bombs coming on...

Interesting that this comes up during our debates about whats acceptable to be said online, which if I've learnt anything from it's that the mother of the autistic child should just have a thicker skin and accept people want her son to be killed...

Clearly the writer of the letter is overreacting and I hope once she calmed down she felt exceptionally bad for what she wrote.

I could understand a person exclaiming their frustration at something like this, but holy christ that letter had some disturbingly specific and malicious stuff.

If anyone is commenting "Well yeah they'd be annoyed", read the damn letter. It's disturbing.

I once had to sit in front of a child like this at a play. True it was annoying but I would never think of doing something like that. Also crying babies and barking dogs may be more normal sounds but they are FAR more annoying. I like how it says it's from "one pissed off mother," like being a mum makes what you say more important. Although you see that alot, parents trying to censor everything saying "it's for the good of my children" honestly why do people like this exist?! :(

Well I'm about to have the unpopular opinion because of my supportive stance of eugenics. Her method and words to carry out the opinion she expressed could've definitely be reworded to fit better. But when anything costs more economic money to keep alive, than it will ever possibly produce, than it's not worth it. Money is a representation of human effort, and that means you're putting effort into something that never gives back, only takes. Ontop of the fact that said human has a large chance of tainting the gene pool it would be better to remove them from it. I don't want anyone to suffer from autism in the future. It's a burden, what selfish right do we have to make a human life to cause suffering upon themselves, and others?

So I was just checking my e-mail when I noticed this interesting bit of news:

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/dailybrew/ontario-police-aware-hateful-letter-telling-family-euthanize-171036930.html

To put it simply, a lady in Ontario gets pissed off at this autistic kid for screaming loudly outside and writes a very hateful letter to his family which includes how much of a nuisance he was, how he'll never be employed, get married, and of course that he should be euthanized.

As someone who was diagnosed alongside his brother with autism, this sorta hits a little close to home. It kinda shows how ugly a person's thoughts can be when they are turned into words.

Thoughts?
I'm autistic.....and now I'm pissed

Yeah well, imagine /b/ being in your neighbours garden every day. I wonder how long it'd take till you imagine bombing the place with napalm.
A bouquet of cunts like /b/ wouldn't even be an issue. My neighbours would gas the annoying fucks and then apologise to me for any disturbance stemming from it. That's the beauty of living on a street with a predominantly Sikh population. :D

I should hope a lot less time then it would take for me to consider the idea of slipping an anonymous letter under someone's door telling said neighbors that they're selfish individuals for letting /b/ have fun and not moving out (Because that's just so fucking easy these days, isn't it!) and saying that /b/ would be much better off dead and donated to science.
I have a feeling you're kind of missing the point of the outrage here.
Thinking "Damnit, that autistic in the yard is annoying the crap out of me" is OK. It's not really under your control, thoughts are like that.
Sending anonymous letters saying that children would be better off dead isn't.

And as a side note, I honestly can't believe I actually have to explain that.

Though I'm probably pretty alone with that, I'm on the mom's side.

I don't know how many of you had to deal with barely functional retards so far, but they go beyond being a mere annoyance VERY quick if nobody takes proper care of them. They endanger themselves and others, cause damage and, like in this case, can easily terrorize entire neighbourhoods.

The parents shall either change their way of life and take proper care of their "little miracle" or put him into a clinic that's specialized in taking care of this kind of needs. If they refuse, the child protection must take action and put him into a state home.

Being moral is easy as long you aren't affected yourself. You'd be surprised how many people would change their mind after walking a mile in the mom's shoes.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present the most empathetic individual ever. You know that retards isn't the preferred nomenclature, right? And I very much doubt that you've had much experience with "barely functional retards." Either that or you were the world's greatest PCA ever (note that I am being sarcastic here).

A child being loud in a backyard? Oh, the humanity! This woman really needs to go fuck herself and learn some fucking compassion.

Even if she wrote a polite letter to the parents, it would still be abhorrent. A loud child in a backyard really ruins your day? How selfish could you be? And then, to specifically attack the child's disability? That is fucking pathetic.

Ah, Hallo mein Furhrer! Yes, I agree with you, we must kill the all the untermench. After all, they are a drain to society, and as we all know, the only thing that matters is money, not the fact that people have a right to live regardless of what ails them. And Also is common knowledge, those with disabilities surely can not live a happy life, even though 90% do and I as someone with Aspergers Syndrome who is enjoying his life as will many others with disabilities. For surely autism is an illness of the untermench and not a rewiring of the brain. For we must keep the gene pool pure and clean for all the Ubermench and while we are at it, let us kill them for more lebensraum for the Ubermench. Sig Heil, Mein Furhrer!! (<------Does not like Eugenics....at all.....ever.)

OT: In case my rant above doesnt show how I feel: F*** THAT WOMAN!! She is a scum of a person and I hope that she gets royally chewed out by the other people around her.
