This is yet another thread for posting fun facts. But, this one is specifically for ones about animated shows or movies. So tell me what you know about cartoons.

Here are 3 of mine:

1. Flea, the bassist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, voiced Donnie in "The Wild Thornberrys"

2. will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas sang the vocals of the "Samurai Jack" theme song

3. Chuck Lorre, creator of sitcoms "Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory", wrote the theme song for the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series.

The only one I know is that Mark Hamill voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and a variety of other Batman media include the Arkham games.

Also, Adam West voiced the Grey Ghost, Batman's fictional childhood hero, in an episode of Batman:TAS.

Mrs. Brisby of The Secret of NIMH was originally named Mrs. Frisby, as in the book the movie was based off of. It had to be changed to avoid trademark infringement, because Wham-O are a bunch of dicks apparently.

Of course, by this time the voice acting had already been recorded so the actors had to be brought back in to re-record some lines. John Carradine, who voiced the great owl, was unavailable for further recording and his lines had to be altered digitally.

Sonic the Hedgehog could have been an armadillo. They had narrowed it down to choosing between an armadillo and a hedgehog.

...What? Sonic has had multiple cartoons, so that counts, right?

Bruce Timm, one of the directors for Batman: The Animated Series, stayed with the DC animated universe all the way through Justice League Unlimited.

Phil Llamar has voiced such characters as: Vergil Hawkins from Static Shock, John Stewart from Justice League, Osmosis Jones, Hermes Conrad and son from Futurama, the Judge from Family Guy, and none other than Samurai Jack himself.

While it's probably not as amazing to comic fans, I was really surprised to learn that the character of "Catman," voiced by Adam West on the Fairly Oddparents, an obvious parody of Batman, is an actual DC character.

Joshua Seth, voice of Tai in Digimon, Jiang Wei in Dynasty Warriors, and a number of other characters, became a hypnotist.

Justin Timberlake voiced Arthur in Shrek 3. Which is kind of unexpected.

The woman who does the voice of Gretchen in the kids show Recess is also the voice of Terra from the Teen Titans animated show.

To be fair she (Ashley Johnson) has also done a whole bunch of other stuff but having seen both those shows I find it interesting to see her voicing such different characters.

The DC animated film "Justice League: Crisis On Two Earth" was actually based on a abandoned Justice League episode special that would of act as an preclude to Justice League Unlimited (I think it just change to that Justice Lord episode in the series).
While the film itself is not related to the series at all but it does feature scenes that would of been connected it being a preclude to League Unlimited-
Near the start of the film, the watchtower is under construction which would of been that bigger watchtower in Unlimited.

Batman mention that their group is too small to handle off world crisis which prompt Batman to recuited more members like Aquaman, Firestorm, Black Canary, Black Lightning and Red Tornado is pretty much the bigger rouster seen in Unlimited.

The spaceship in the watchtower is near identical to the ones in Unlimited.

Wonderwoman kept hold of Owlman invisible plane at the end of the film would of been the explanation to why she had it in Unlimited (well she had it as a reference to the comicbook but in the series they never explain how or why she got it).

Also with Transformers G1, the reason why Jazz no longer appear (well ok he was briefly seen in season 3 abit but he had never once spoke) after the movie was that the voice actor Scatman Crothers died from lung cancer.

I second the notion that Ron Perlman is awesome. He voiced Slade on Teen Titians.

Actually, just go to Steve Blum's IMDb page if you haven't already. Your mind will be blow for hours.

Ron Perlman is amazing - the Man of a Thousand Voices. He was also Mr. War Never Changes in Fallout.

OT: will.i.am is also the voice of Moto-Moto in Madagascar 2.

I know it blew MY mind.

The Dover Boys was the first attempt of Chuck Jones at making a funny cartoon. His studio nearly fired him for it. Ironically, the cartoon would later be revered as one of the 50 Greatest Cartooons, and Jones himself would become one of the most recognizable names in the industry. It's also rather anomalous in that it's one of the few Warner Bros productions to fall into public domain.
