Actually, I just spoke with Chrono Crusade, and it says that it's willing to give the title of saddest manga to Saikano.

But in all seriousness, Saikano had many more sad moments in it compared to Chrono Crusade, and Saikano felt a little more mature despite the simple premise. Saikano actually left me crying for about ten minutes after I read the final volume, (Or any sad scene, really) so I stand by it.
