Detective Conan, which in America was called Case-Closed. It's an interesting murder mystery show that can be a bit bloody at times. It's been running for ... 13, maybe 14 seasons in Japan and has several movies, but only the first 4 seasons and three movies have been translated and dubbed.

Ergo Proxy. Deffo.

You mind just reels after every episode. When that anime finished I was in shock for a few days, seriously, it's incredible. Watch it now :3

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. If you love over-the-top sexual humor, you really can't go wrong with this. It's awesome.
Sounds pretty awesome, and your Nabashin avatar makes you trustworthy.

Might as well give Higurashi a look...just avoid the Rei season and you'll be fine.

Ah, glad to see my appreciation of Nabeshin is shared by others.

Anyways, here's a few brief looks at what you'll be getting yourself into if you watch Panty and Stocking:

He im hoping one of you guys can help me out. I have been trying to remember the name of this anime for ages. i saw it as a kid and only have a few memories of it. It is set in medieval times but with tons of monsters. the main character is this guy who wears a red headband and he knows magic. there is this thing called the Sword of boslean witch is part of the plot i think but that most of what i can remember. it is also very gory because i think there is a scene in the intro where a giant snake like thing gets cut right down the middle by the main character. if someone could help me out and tell me its name it would be greatly appreciated. Please message me if you know. Thx

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is just... indescribable. Worth the watch oh ho ho
Mononoke is amazing, don't let the art style scare you away.
On a similar note, I recently finished watching Mushishi, which is also extremely beautiful. If you're more into disjointed episode structure (and lots and lots of different stories), Mushishi is a definite must-see.

Now for my obligatory Satoshi Kon plug...
Every single movie by this man is amazing! 'Paprika' is a total trip and has unparalleled animation, and 'Tokyo Godfathers' is a comedic heap of what-the-fuckery.

I've actually seen Tokyo Godfathers, that's where several 'dysfunctional people find this child in streets right? I'm very intrigued by Panty and Stocking. However, by Mononoke, do you mean the movie cause I've seen that or is there a series called that? Thanks, Mushishi does look beautiful, I'm very interested. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yep, that's Tokyo Godfathers!
Princess Mononoke is the Hayao Miyazaki film, but Mononoke is a series. Both excellent :'D

Glad to suggest!

No Case Closed or Paranoia Agent?! Both are really good!
Hmm, paranoia agent...that sounds really familiar. Is that the one about the
the homicidal kid on skates with the gold baseball bat?
I've seen part of Case Closed when it was on Adult Swim with Yu Yu Hakusho, it was very good, I should try to go finish it or just rewatch it since it's been so long.

you watched ALL of DBZ but didn't get all the way through death note? ._. that's a shame
Cromartie High School is extremely random and hilarious, Freddie Mercury is even in it. If that doesn't sell you then I don't know what will.
like most comedy things though, it can get a bit stale if watched in rapid succession, but I still highly recommend it
