Air is not that great, when I think in comparison to Clannad, Kanon and Angel Beats. I'm not saying it's bad, far from it, but in comparison to other Key anime's, it appears to try and pack in too much a small amount of episodes. Angel Beats handles it better in the same amount of episodes, and Kanon and Clannad to a much greater degree with more episodes to give weight to the point they try to send out.
