Anime Season Fall 2012

Watched a few episodes of "Sword Art Online" (at a friend's house). Not sure if it's the 2012 season but it was good. I plan on watching more.

Bonus: it's video game related...

I also plan on watching the new Berserk trilogy once it's complete (2 have been made... I've been a patient boy).

SAO is fantastic, I'd definitely recommend it.

Kin'niku! Kin'niku!... erm yes he is my favorite male Little Buster! I've changed my avatar from L Lawliet in anticipation for this season, but I'm somewhat concerned that J.C. Staff is producing it instead of KyoAni like the other Key VNs. From what I heard J.C. Staff has a tendency to fuck up its adaptations, which I can't confirm myself as I haven't seen any of the source material for shows of there's that I've seen.

Well, I haven't watched many 2012 animes, in 2010 and 11 I started watching many animes and dropped most due to disappointment, so I decided not to make the same mistake this year. Then someday I'll check the feedback of the series that recently ended and watch the best ones.

Right now I only watch HxH 2011, which is surprisingly good. (With Naruto and One Piece on hold).
From this year that I enjoyed, maybe Fate Zero, but it's still overrated as hell, rated it an 8.
But as I said, this year I haven't watched many.

Question, does anyone know if Madoka Magika movies will have the same soundtrack as the series? It was awesome.

The big three aye? Well I haven't seen any of them in years, but I've heard that while One Piece and HxH some-what deserve to be there at the top, Naruto however is as over-rated as a series can possibly be.
It is a shame that you haven't seen much this year, there have been some pretty great shows this year.
The ones that stuck out for me and that I'd suggest for where:
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita (Humanity Has Declined) Was an excellent social commentary and dark comedy

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san!, Was absolutely hilarious and got me into reading some of Lovecraft's work

Tsuritama, was a very fun and heart-warming sci-fi drama

Hyouka, was another great high school drama from KyoAni

Uchuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers), is an inspiring drama, with a fantastic ensemble of characters

Rinne no Lagrange: Flower Declaration of Your Heart, is a great mecha show with great Xebec character designs

Another and Senki Zesshou Symphogear, are definitely the so-bad-it's-good cult hits of the year

Daily Lives of High School Boys is one of the most hilarious animated shows I've ever seen

and Black&#9733;Rock Shooter, had some of the best action scenes thus far.

Edit: And High School DXD is my favourite ecchi for this year...

It better be good, but apparently Key are keeping a VERY close eye on them. Which is great cause it should be great just like Clannad (The anime that is).

Frankly I just want more Kud...also the fight/baseball scenes.

Now that's good to hear, usually an adaptation ends up being much better when the original creator(s) are managing things more closely. That could go wrong if what Key wishes to do with the project conflicts too much with what JC Staff wishes to do with it, that's how you end up with a convoluted mess. Hopefully it'll be as faithful and good as School Days was as an adaptation.

You know it's funny, Kurugaya, who's my favourite female Little Buster!, is the only girl who gets an alternate ending to her route after you complete the game, but Kud is the one who gets the adults only spin off. It must mean that while Kurugaya is Key's favourite, Kud is the fan favourite.

Yeah, I'm just hoping that it will be good as the other adaptions and that they won't screw it up. For the anime itself I wonder what they are going to do for the story plot. I mean are they going to just do a yosuga no sora (The anime) and just do the anime in character routes or will it be something else?

Spoiler: Spoilers for the story of LB.

Hopefully they will follow character routes for example, we have the start where Riki (Same as Rin) is himself at the start (You know, weak and such) and goes for Rin's route (the first one) and goes through every one of the characters routes and keeps getting stronger until he gets to refrain. Hopefully they will do that to stay true to the VN.

But still I can't wait for it. (It's hard to explain.)

Also I do see why Kud is fan favorite. I mean I started with Komari (In the VN) and when I saw Kud for the first time I was quite...well amazed in terms of cuteness. (Also I'm waiting for someone to finish translating Kud Wafter. 0_0)

I don't know man, if they go the route you suggested they may not be able to faithfully cover the routes even if it's a 26 episode show. They might do one harem plot line where all the heroines routes are rolled into one continuous timeline instead of

I don't really like Kud that much compared to some of the other girls, yeah she's cute, but I'd see her more as my daughter more than my lover. Perhaps it is also due to the fact that I've never been much of a lolicon, and I've always preferred a more mature, intelligent, and of course buxom woman, which is why Yuiko was my favourite from the start.

If they did a harem plot line, I think I might just not like it. Well it's because I am a hater of the harem genre in anime. I'm all for romance...but harem just ruins it all and makes the anime feel like a joke.

Those resets are very important indeed, especially to the plot and characters. (And by watching the trailer/opening for the anime it seems they will go with resetting and such since I saw a glimpse of Kud's route.)

Well everyone is different. As you said you like more mature, intelligent and such woman. I prefer cute, innocent, smaller...yeah and more innocent girls, which Kurugaya seems to have no innocence at all. xD

All though in her route I do like the Kyousuke part where everyone discovers his preferences. ^_^

Well I'm not so hostile to the harem genre, I think it worked in Vandread, Nyaruko-san, and in a number of ecchi shows. However, I am quite hostile towards genre switches, and I'd likely be just as pissed off as you would be if they made this a harem of all things. Well at least we're going to get to see the EX routes translated before those guys at the TLwiki ever get close to finishing the EX version itself.

Also that is true. I did want to see the extra routes in EX but they haven't translated it yet. So it'll be good to see them in the anime. (Being aired in Oct 6 in Japan I believe...who knows whenever translated and put up online.) Heck Kud Wafter is being translated faster then it I think.

Yeah, that's all kinds of terrible. You might as well be watching the Valkyria Chronicles cutscenes, i.e. really shitty CGI. The manga is the best thing in the world though.

OT: I haven't been into current anime for a good four years now and seeing many of these titles isn't changing that. Unless Hayao Miyazaki, Katsuhiro Otomo, or Koji Morimoto have something in the works, I'll continue ignoring current anime as usual.

Oh, or unless it's Rebuild 3, but that's a given.

Yeah, but the whole setting just feels way too clean and sterile for medievil times. I'm not a fan of the original animated series, but at least there the visuals were dank and dreary.

And the CGI... Good God. There should be a law in Japan stating that only Studio Ghibli and Gainax are allowed to use CGI in their cartoons.
