Anime that deserve a reboot with a longer run time

Excel Saga?? Any Good?

It's an older show (1999) somewhat in the vein of Slayers, but with far more hyperactive, deadly, and absurd comedy. You'll never see a main character (our brainless hero Excel, out to serve her beloved master, a feeling which is not mutual) die so many times in so many bizarre slapstick ways, and cause others to do the same.

I for one am very fond of it, it's some good old fast-paced slightly-black-but-mostly-just-hilarious comedy. And the good thing about it is that after the first episode, you'll know whether you like it or not, so I'd definitely recommend checking out at least that.

It also has a sister "show" (i.e. two OVAs), Puni Puni Poemy, which is an even more "hyper" and far raunchier spin-off of it. Where Excel Saga aim to be fun and absurd, PPP adds offensive to that list, and succeeds (it was banned in New Zealand). Basicly, it's for anime fans who aren't afraid of laughing at the stereotypes in certain less-savory kinds of anime (and themselves for even watching it), or of pimp-like aliens with severe kidney stone problems...

I'm an addict to the manga and I want to see that in anime form...and I actually like it when manga's and anime's follow the same story line, i.e. Vampire Knight.

Gantz comes to mind as something that could've gone longer, gotten a better ending and needed an overhaul to remove some of the crud bogging down the better concepts/themes.

haha! I'd like to moan about all the bleach fillers but they are actually what stops it from just stopping altogether or having one episode every month or so and this is why bleach is still going to last years. (The last filler arc lasted just about a year, but thats to keep it enough behind the manga to keep it going)

Darker then Black it is my absolute favorite anime of all time,anyone else noticing that my top three favorite animes either have crappy endings or crappy seconds series(although having a giant fucking elephant gun shooting out of someones chest is probably the coolest thing I have seen in anime since forever)

I think bleach naruto and one piece should be given a reboot so that we can get a reboot of the shows before everyone became the son of zeus.
