anime to game addaptation you would like to see

I would like to see a TPS/FPS based on ghost in the shell. It will be either something like Deus Ex where you play a detective in the GITS universe or a game where you play a squad leader like in Rainbow Six.
I would also like to see a High School Of The Dead adaptation to survival horror with a few vehicle sections.

Seconding the Ghost in the Shell game, it could follow the television series. Structure it like LA Noire with the individual cases, overarching themes, but then it could become much more in depth for some of the tactical takedowns and raids.

If we're going to throw out any previously-made games (ie: Japan-only or just horrendous titles), I want a Ranma ½ MMO and I want it now. Existing Ranma characters are NPCs, the houses (ie: Saotomes, Hibikis) would be akin to factions that you can ally with.


I dunno, I'm not creative at this hour, but since that's my fave anime/manga ever (and, yeah, I have the crappy games), I'd love to see a MMO Ranma game...

a trigun openworld rpg based on the lore and lands of the novel....with huge open deserts and giant steam train battles...epic deep space planet future gun action.

Lets see...

Death Note meets L.A. Noire, you play as L. They'd have to change who has the Notebook up to make it interesting though, but that'd probably just piss fans off. They could do more like a Hitman thing and have you play as Light but... As you can Imagine that might not work out all that well.

Elfen Lied would be a good FPS if they made it a lot like F.E.A.R. with you trying to kill Lucy, but then again you might as well play F.E.A.R... I'd say have you control Lucy, but then it'd be like The Darkness...

Fooly Cooly would be a cool if they made it like Shenmue/GTA. Go around and explore. They could implement the Rock Band/Guitar Hero guitar even. Maybe have it be like a sandbox rythme game... That'd be interesting. Maybe have it like... The guitar is active as second player and you walk around with the controller and you play the guitar for like quicktime like rythme sequences and use star power to hit people. Could be a cool idea I guess if done right.

Trigun meets Red Dead Redemption/Fallout 3 would also be pretty cool. Walk around in a world similar to Fallout with quests and side quests and such looking for Knives while playing in third person with thighter controls like Red Dead Redemption...

I could probably think of more, but I don't really watch much anime... Lol.

There was a ghost in the shell game way back on the Ps1 - not sure if it came out before or after the anime though.

Mine would be a really good RPG of naruto, it already has a pretty big world, so thats something it could play off.

An action / rpg of Darker than Black would be pretty fun too.

I think I played it a little you play as a Tachikoma in the game I thought of it plays very different you play either as Katsuragi or as a generic agent of section 9.

First one was on Dreamcast and I missed it.

Second one was on PS2 but was import only and I can't read Japanese! I played the hell out of it and it was fun. Would have been even better if I knew what the hell was going on as the manga hadn't been translated up to the point in the game, they changed some things from the manga(as I later found out), and it f**king sucks trying to learn the controls and know what your objective is when you can't read the onscreen hints. Also my PS2 that could play it broke...

edit: Berserk as an action/adventure game.

Giant Sword. Check.
Throwing knives. Check.
Repeating crossbow. Check.
Mini bombs. Check.
Mother F'ing Cannon built into arm! Check.
Pissed off protagonist w/ revenge on his mind. Check.
Monsters and Giant monsters. Check.

GunXSword would make a good giant robot game, and would be even better if they added in a hack-n-slash gameplay element and exploration element for normal running around. Full Metal Panic could be an interesting mix of a shooter/giant robot/ dating sim game. Other then that... I'm not sure. Many anime with almost any success has had a game made of it, even if it's only in Japan.

Didn't they already make Parasite Eve games? I remember a friend playing the first on the PS1(I think) a long time ago and from what I can remember it was pretty cool. Except for this one building that has no save points that you have to play all in one go and it's hard. Ending was cool too

They made a new PSP game that I believe is a third person shooter/action game.

Or do you mean to make a new one?

There is a PS2 game for Gantz and yes there is an anime for it but then they ended it really baddly while the manga is still going

But you won't be able to sell it anywhere besides Japan with all of the fan service and bathroom scenes.
I'm serious, half of the content will be cut for the western hemisphere.

Sorry, i got it mixed up. The manga is really called "Parasyte". Its pretty awesome and I wreckamend it. i don't know why i didn't remember parsite eve sooner.
