Star Wars Rouge Leader: Rouge Squadron II

This game TRIED to be fun, but making it impossible isn't good game design. I tried to like it, but when it had me try to destroy a little thing that I couldn't find even WITH help, no I said. Fuck this and fuck this game, even infinite lives and I STILL couldn't beat the levels.

A challenge is one thing, but making it ungodly challenging like this, where it's just badly designed, I felt like it was a waste of money and a waste of my time and I want to go back and buy a better game instead

Cheers.
Is Cheers even a game?

I would ban MW so that my friends would play halo with me more often.

I suspect I won't be the last to say Halo. Simply put, no Halo, no devolution of the FPS into the cess-pit we have now.
I'd agree with you on that one. Probably one of the games that is most undeserving of the hype it receives.

Or any so-called "rhythmic games".
I don't see the point.

Just because you don't like it doesn't make it bad.

I like it, it's fits FPSs.
Doesn't work with any other genre though...
Exactly it works for halo because of it's magic shield but in other FPS set in a more conventional setting then you're going to suspend your disbelief a tad, it's a game afterall. Fun > Realism right folks?

I wouldn't. I'd kill Halo 2 and 3, but not Halo: Combat Evolved. I really don't like the Auto regeneration of health, which was started by Halo 2. Health bar and some medkits is the way to go.

I don't think the Halo sereies is crap, but it was completely undeserving of the hype it received.

I'd also like to ressurect the Zone of the Enders series, using the corpses of Halo 2 and 3, if at all possible.

Fable, the game itself wasn't horrid but was crap compared to the hype. Also it is the first game I really remembering having a "karma" system, that to this day hasn't really brought crap to games, imo.

Dark Sector. Anyone who's been scarily stalking my posts will know I hate that game with the passion of the Christ.

How can anyone make fucking decapitation boring?

You say that, but Halo has also developed the FPS genre.
On what, or to what, I don't know, I wasn't there before Halo.

But it has.
Otherwise, we'd still be playing FPSs like Doom on the 16-bits.

...
Actually, I quite see your point.

The first one actually had a little health bar. Granted, the shield did regenerate, but you still had to stomp on a few health packs.

I hate that game and regret ever buying it. It practically broke my friend, and turned him into some kind of conservative zombie, never buying a game unless it's guaranteed to be incredible.
I became that kind of zombie after buying The force unleashed. 400 rand (about $50) gone! forever!

*digs in pile of play station 2 games to see if anything shittier exists*

Sorry, that's all the turd I've got.

I never played the 2nd game but I really liked the original Zone of the Enders. It had solid, fun combat and I think ressurecting the series and adding a good multiplayer mode would be a great idea.

Farmville. If it didn't exist, I wouldn't lose so many friends by shouting at them "I DON'T GIVE A @#&*%#^&* ABOUT FINDING A BLACK SHEEP!" after getting the nth status update about it.

Zeig heil, failing to make something boring means it will be interesting, and since you hate this game, I doubt that's what you meant. /nazi

OT:I've been savvy enough not to play many games that I've absolutely hated buuuut... Custer's Revenge?

Um... what part did you get stuck on? I found that game easy.

OT: I would get rid of Halo, not because it was a bad game, but if it didn't exist then the legion of foul mouthed Halo fanboys wouldn't exist either.

First:
Well actually first off i would like to apologize for my small wall of text. I could have easily just trolled with a few sentences: Insulting your mother and such in all caps while beating your face in with a replica Spartan helmet. However when I reply to posts such as this i feel it is more important to be thorough in my explanation.

While your first point is valid it can be said about most games nowadays, all shooters are doom or Wolfenstein clones with better graphics or different guns or settings. Saying that Halo was the only game that brought nothing to the table is a bit closed minded. What Halo did borrow from other games is incorporated into the gameplay very well.

Second:
Most people fail to recognize that Halo CE did have a health bar under the shields, therefore there was no fully regenerating health in the halo series until Halo 2. And this regenerating shield system worked really well FOR THE HALO SERIES (sorry the fanboy escaped for a second, he is being entertained with a halo coloring book now so no more interruptions) due to the fact that most enemies were a legitimate threat to the player and the fact that the enemy weapons drained the shields fairly quickly and could drop an unshielded Master Chief within a few seconds. I feel that the abandonment of the health-packs in Halo 2 and 3 was a mistake on Bungies part, a mistake they are rectifying with the inclusion of Health-packs in Halo 3: ODST and also in the upcoming Halo Reach.

When removed from the series and placed into the next popular game to feature regenerating health was Call of Duty 2. Having only played COD2 very slightly i cant say weather or not it was a good idea on their part. However I did find the lack of health-packs in COD3 to make the game too easy.

I also feel that as todays market caters more to the multiplayer aspect than the single player, health-packs have become obsolete. Regenerating health keeps the combat constant, no longer is the combat interrupted by a frantic search for the nearest health-pack. Personally I enjoyed that frantic feeling and think that as the health-pack fades out of gaming we have lost something truly special.

(Oshit, inner fanboy how did you finish the coloring book so fast and when did you let troll out of his cage. What are you doing with that 2 by 4, wait WHERE did you get that 2 by 4? O GOD SOMEONE HELP)

REGENERATING HEALTH IS NOT HALOS FAULT[/rage]

OT: I would have to say any game based off of a movie series, they hardly ever work.
