Ever visit a game store and left totally pissed off because of an employee?

Mine would have to be this now fired (Seriously, I LOL'd when I found out) worker at Game Crazy. Everytime I went in to buy games he would give me a glare. He would always patronize me because of my age (I was about 13 at the time, even though I was pretty mature for my age), and he would blame me for any problems I had following purchases (Once I purchased a PSP game with a broken UMD disk, he said it was my fault because I supposedly "Tried to pry open the case", even though I bought it like that.

My only experiences with a game store jerk was a guy at Game crazy who the moment i walk in the store he says a bit loudly that he won't take my some of my games on the grounds that they didn't take PS1 games anymore. IT wasn't bad I was just annoyed he didn't wait till I got to the counter to tell me so as I had some GBA games that he could take.

Also back in my noobish days at the same Game crazy I tried to buy Knights of the Old Republic and the girl at the counter shot me a look of pure venom and said they only had it for the xbox.

To counter that hate I had a game stop employ search for Kingdom Hearts for the Game cube because neither of us realized it was only for PS2. Another employee came up and cleared the mistake up up nicely.

My experiences aren't horrible just minorly irritating

Isn't KOTOR only on Xbox and PC?

The person who told me about it didn't mention he had it for the PC, I thought he only owned a gamecube.

I found a couple of employee's at Game (Australian store), can be frustrating, i went to trade in 2 games, Collectors Editions of Soul Calibur 4 and Fable 2, and he refused to accept them because they weren't "classified" as tradable games, simply because they were collectors editions. Thankfully an employee with a clue came up and corrected it.

If your going to work in a store, have a clue about the products you trade.

Everytime I got into my local GAME there are 3 employees just standing around doing fuck all, i'll be scanning the PS3 games just looking for something that maybe take my fancy and i'll forever be asked, "Do you need any help?". That gets on my nerves.
And they refuse to hire women in that store, I think they can't cope with girls playing games. I went to buy a PS3 game once, and I was asked "You do HAVE a Playstation 3 right?". I answered "No- I just think the box looks pretty."

Yeah, I know that feeling.

Well, my story is slightly different. I went to Tilt to search for a job, but the manager of the store wasn't on site, as he was attending somekind of meeting. Fair enough, I ask the guy when he would be back, and I got the answer 'tomorrow'. Okay, so I head on back the next day, and the same guy tells me the manager had left early today. Mildly pissed now, since it was just 2 PM. I return one final time the next day, 11 AM. This time, the manager had slept over and wasn't coming until 1 PM.

I just left my resumé and told the guy to tell the manager he's a lazy bum.

Just that feeling when you are the only one in the store and you can feel them watching you. Right up until they ask you if you want anything and you tell them that you're just browsing but really want to tell them that business would pick up if they stopped alienating the single person in the store.

LMFAO!
My mate bought Motorstorm...he doesnt own a ps3...he loved playing it at my house was 2 days after launch...he STILL has it...creeps me the fuck out
I think the game I said was pretty was COD4.. lol not really how one would describe it.

I love messing with the people in there, they had set up GH World Tour and were asking people to try it out, my boyfriend wouldn't play it with me after I beat him at a festival in front of 50 people or so, so I went to have a go on my own. The guy actually explained how it worked- "You have to hold down these coloured buttons... etc" so I pulled a "teehee, oh it sounds soooo complicated!" and then POW 5*'s on expert. :D
I love it when they see me as the stupid blonde girl.

They have to ask you that. Company policy and all.

They do hire girls. Believe me, I would know.

In my local GAME, I went in to buy Saints Row 2 for the 360 and did so (without getting ID'd), only after I left the store I noticed I was given the PS3 version of the game, so fair does I thought just go and get it exchanged but no! The same woman that served me first time around wouldn't let me exchange the game for the right version which I payed for and said so on my reciept. After that day I've never bought anything from that store because the manager is so annoying whenever I'm with a friend she just glares at me till I leave.

Thats why they should only hire people to work in Game departments who know about fucking games
go to any JB-HI-FI store and you'll want to knock the bastards out.
Actually, i have found JB to be the suprisingly most useful, if they didn't have a clue they would pass me onto a person who did, and even some of the tellers would have conversations about particular games, even the female tellers, i even had a small discussion while purchasing Soul Calibur 4, about Soul 2, and a couple of other games, and it wasn't just small talk, as they we discussed aspects only people who actually played the game would understand.

Mebe i was lucky.

*Talk about JB HI-FI*
The only thing JB HI-FI that is good, is how cheap they are. Although, they really aren't any more, which is fail.

On-topic, my most annoying experience was a couple of weeks after getting my 360, Skate was due out. I desperately wanted it, so naturally, the day it was due out I called the store (GAME I think) to see if it was in.

They said, "Yeah sure, it will be in this afternoon."

I thought, great I can go pick it up. So I went to pick it up, only to find that there were no Skate copies in the store, and there wouldn't be until Friday at least (it was Saturday, I think).

You are one awesome person.

I've never had a problem with my local gamestop or EB games. I have had problems with them elsewhere though.
One time I was trying to buy Halo 3 when the guy called me a retarded fanboy. I asked him if he even knew the definition of retarded. He gave me a wrong definition and then called me gay. I asked him if he knew the definition of gay and he gave me the wrong definition for that too, I got my friend to fire him eventually.

How the hell do people like this get jobs, when I am a nice, polite person and my CV's must just vanish into oblivion?
